Yogi Ferrell, Justin Holiday or Jaylen Brown? WHIR

Recommended Posts

I'd lean on Jaylen since Chicago's current guard lineup without Lavine is a dumpster fire and Dallas has a glut of guards which can all contribute but DS Jr., Seth, and Wes are probably ahead of Yogi in the depth chart even if Carlisle is prone to running 3 guard lineups. Harris is also ahead of him defensively so only Barea is the one he has a leg up on. The Celts are leaning on Jaylen to defend the best wings on the opposing team so he should get ample playing time. Current ceiling is Crowder's previous role with less points and stls.

Yogi is starting

Yogi Ferrell is likely to start on opening night with Seth Curry (leg) out indefinitely.
It's an interesting move for a team that is a little short on wing depth. For now, it looks like coach Rick Carlisle will use the Blazers/Rockets approach at the guard spots as he staggers his two point guards, so Dennis Smith Jr. and Ferrell should have a handful of chances to make plays. Ferrell is back on the map as a late-round option. Oct 7 - 2:26 PM

Seth's injury isn't that serious so Yogi wouldn't be starting for long and Yogi's usage with the minutes he shares with DSJ wouldn't be that high. He needed around 30 mins a night to post a ~100 ranking on BBM. The Mavs also has other capable guards which will also cut into Yogi's minutes depending on the current flow/needs of the game.

Jaylen would be a better long term option IMO.
