Week 6 - Waiver Wire Touts

Giants WR situation worth monitoring. Someone has to catch the ball & their entire WR group left with bad injuries.

I think Evan Engram, essentially a wide receiver, will benefit the most.

For those interested in a Giants WR,

Roger Lewis, is probably your best bet. Make sure you don't confuse him with Ricardo Louis- the Browns guy- if you don't want to own a Cleveland pass catcher, although he is probably worthy of a sniff too given Britt's crappy year.

On the Yahoo app, they appear as R. Lewis and R. Louis. !!!

Before you guys laugh it off or condemn me to your ignore list, the rookie has played in only 3 games and in one of which he got injured. Furthermore, his biggest issue is patience as he's still getting accustomed to playing with the QB under center (most of his carries in college came out of the shotgun formation). All of his flaws can be fixed. He has the power, the speed, and the vision -- just needs to slow the F down and let the holes develop.

Now coming off the BYE and having time to work on it as he prepares to play @ home against the 49ers, this is as good a time as any to pick him up.

The Browns don’t want Gordon.  Who are they going to send him to...the Giants?

There is also no reason to believe he’s in football shape.

Gordon is beyond a desperation add.

xxxxx

I am eyeing Danny Woodhead, but I’ll wait until next week or the following one.

Seatles backfield is a mess.  Prosise is worth a stash if you have higher priorities than running back in a snake waiver wire.

No, not Prosise.  He is hurt again (always) and Seattle is on bye this week.  McKissic looks good and dependable and so he will remain in the mix.  It would probably be wise to avoid that entire situation and look elsewhere.

Making his debut this week. He’ll probably phase out Tyrell and Chargers will likely play Benjamin for 4 wide sets. At the worst he’ll eat up a lot of the targets they were getting.

Then there’s Keenan Allen who will inevitably get injured but even if he manages to stay healthy there’s plenty of room for him and LA Mike to eat.

Pick him up now and hold for few weeks even if he doesn’t do much first week or two.

Not much on the wire this week...

Ricardo Louis looks like a worthy add in PPR lgs. Ed Dickson is definitely a solid steamer in Olsen's absence. Matt Breida needs to be rostered by Hyde owners and anyone chasing an upside stash in event of injury.

Mike Wallace might be a good 1 week start next week vs the Bears.

Goodwin and Kittle are also decent streaming options. Kittle is a TD magnet, Hoyer doesn't look for his WRs in the red zone. The only niner WR with a TD is Trent Taylor.

In the red zone, Hoyer will either go with Hyde/Breida or dump it off to the TE.

Where exactly do you get the idea that they're going to sit gore [for Mack]?

Eventually not immediately but.... He sucks? He's old? Mack has scored twice in his two full games? Gore 17 touches and Mack got 11 in his first game back? Future RB of that backfield?  Just a few reasons is all.

Ed Dickson. The Tight End position is a goddamn headache this year. Might as well.

Lions are terrible vs TEs. Might be worth it but that game was a fluke.  Kittle and Njoku are better options IMO

Laughable analysis.  He's a long shot add.  He's missed all of mini & training camp and has no repport with Rivers.  The Chargers will work him in slowly and he likely won't be a consistent producer this season.

If you have played FF for a bit you understand that having a report with the QB is a big factor to success for any receiver.

You forgot the Colts losing record and Gore's expiring contract

Gore doesn't suck. And he doesn't get injured. Stop pulling stuff out of your butt, because theres no way they are benching gore for mack unless he gets injured.

Right. Cause no player has ever missed Mini and training camp and found success. I’d rather take a shot and add him rather than the same tired old names on the wire like Sanu, Britt or guys like Kittle, Ricardo or Goodwin.

It might take him a few weeks to get going like I said but they didn’t spend a #7 overall pick on him to play behind Tyrell Williams or Travis Benjamin.

Name some, or even one?

He's a dart throw, as his production will show.

Never said Gore gets injured. Where was that said?? You're the one making stuff up. Mack is the future RB there. That's why they drafted him.

Pick up the Mack Daddy!

Hey if you wanna roster a guy in redraft leagues who likely won't be relevant until next year, go ahead. But even carrying him as a handcuff this year is a pretty bad idea because gore will likely lead in carries all season and there isn't much risk of him going down.

Um, he's relevant now.
