The only negative with Chriss is that the team is stacked with good young players that could steal his PT if he starts off slow and they start off fast (Warren/Bender/Jackson).

Early indications are that he'll still be with the second unit.  He still needs to learn how to not foul constantly.

Me right now reading through this thread after dropping him this weekend

Calling it right now. He'll lead the NBA in blocks this year.                         And steals, and points, and rebounds, and 3s, and

Is he not playing tonight?

He didn't start.  It took them forever to get him in, but he's playing now.  In the end, he should still play close to the minutes expected.  Hopefully they don't play Small Ball every night though.

Back on the bench, Suns going small with Dragan playing center. Not good.

Not saying it won't last beyond tonight, but there was no indication of this before tonight.  Maybe it's because Portland has a small PF?ond tonight

If small ball is the reason behind the benching isnt he better suited than tyson chandler? Hes way more agile. Too early to overreact though. Wesmatt went nuts in the second half today. Hope he does the same.

Yeah, might be a little early to write him off after a half of a game.  Discouraging obviously, but probably only droppable so quickly if there's a can't miss pick-up out there.

Cant really drop a player we took midround over one bad game. Playing time is confusing though. 3 minutes is barely playing.

To be fair, no one on the Suns are doing well right now.

It's the playing time that people are concerned with. If he had these stats with 25-30 mins, no one would be panicking but fact that he only played 3 mins in the first half is concerning.

My point is, it's the first game of the season and everyone is doing terribly. So nothing to worry about yet.
