8 steals in the last 8 games.

Can we expect him to continue being this aggressive one the basepaths?

Mookie does what he feels like doing. Depends on the day. I expect tommorow to be a 3HR day ;)

Only needs two more CF starts in YAHOO leagues to qualify there as well.

Oh hell yes.

Btw, this dude is already well over halfway to a 20/20 season already. Insane.

I'm curious, can someone explain to me how Betts has a lower WAR than Trout right now?

They've essentially played the same amount and...

Betts leads Trout significantly in hits, runs, RBI's, doubles, homers, stolen bases, and has fewer strikeouts. He has a much higher average, a slightly higher OBP, and a way higher slugging percentage.

Trout has 2 triples to 1 for Betts.

Is Betts that bad defensively or something?

You tell me.

Honestly, WAR be damned, I think Mookie is better than Trout this year. Also, fWAR actually does give the edge to Mookie, and he only slightly edges him in bWAR.

☝?☝?

Yeah was going to say, Mookie has higher fWAR right now. The break down:

Mookie-

3.5 WAR

Off- 27.1

Def- 7.0

BsR- 2.4

Trout-

3.0 WAR

Off- 21.0

Def- 1.1

BsR- 1.6

So fangraphs has Mookie being better across the board to this point.

The def is 0.7 right now, it's 7.0 for his career, though he was 14.0 and 14.3 in 2016 and 17 respectively, good for tenth and sixth among all position players in those respective seasons.
