What good does this do to tarnish the man's legacy years after he died? I don't get it..it only brings sorrow to his family, friends, and fans.

This one incident proves this how? I mean, this type of thing happens to people all over. This is a Halladay thing, not a “sports players” thing. Most of them get fat and/or get on TV. They’re not all

Oh no.  Such a heartbreaking loss for the baseball world.  Dude always gave every ounce of energy he had out there every fifth day, which is probably why his prime didn't last as long as it has for some of his peers.

I still get goose bumps watching this moment from his NLDS no-hitter.

RIP to a Philly legend.

I really hope Halladay, Johan, Verlander and Sabathia make it to the HOF eventually. They were the generation defining pitchers of their era. Halladay's 2010, Sabathia's 2008, Verlander's 2011 and Santana's 2004-2006 were such incredible seasons

Was 2010 even Halladay's defining season? He was so dominant for such a long stretch it's hard to pick one year but the perfect game and playoff no-hitter definitely stick out.

Verlander and Doc are locks, CC is somewhat borderline but will likely get in if he pitches at the same level he did this year for another couple years.  Johan's injuries are probably going to prevent him from getting in.  Obviously, if he hadn't gotten injured, he would have been a lock.
