And there's really no place for him to play unless Upton gets hurt again. I guess your right. I thought he could slide in Kalhoun’s spot but didn’t realize he had 19 homers this year although he is hitting .224. The angels are sitting just under .500 so maybe it’s more likely they give him a shot if they fall out of contention?
dod959 1,018
Just cut Pujols and move Upton to 1st. Put the best players you can around Trout. Or nah.
footy1 25
3-4 2HRs tonight, if the Angels want to make the playoffs they have to bring him up I would think

BCMarch10 141
THU, AUG 1, 2:19 PMROTOWIRE.COM Adell was promoted from Double-A Mobile to Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports. Spin: Adell, one of the top prospects in baseball, will get his first taste of Triple-A after facing little resistance in 46 games with Double-A Mobile (.308/.390/.553 slash line with eight home runs and six stolen bases). If the 20-year-old hits the ground running at Triple-A, he could force his way onto the big-league roster before the end of the season.
jeffcarroll23 5
What are the chances of him coming up in Sept? He is sitting there in my redraft league and I have an open NA spot. Kid looks like he will be a stud as a pro.

The Angels FO must know that he's going to put up numbers in the PCL which will increase the pressure to call him up. They could have let him finish the season in AA but chose not to. Maybe they are actually ok with the pressure to call him up because they're trying to expedite his timeline to get up and help Trout/Ohtani ASAP.

Hope he comes up soon haha
Hatfieldodger 250
How’s JoJo been doing lately? Could we see him in Sept?
sleepysock 833
His OBP is 40 points higher than his SLG...and his OBP is pretty bad. Small sample size, but not a good run in AAA so far.

hailfire4 413
With Trout out I was hoping Adell would get the call to keep the fans interested. Apparently not. At least the Arizona fall league will get to see Adell instead of Goodwin.

He has no HRs, 1 SB, and 8 RBI in 132 PAs (.676 OPS) with a 32.6% strikeout rate. It hasn't been pretty, and my guess is that he'll need a couple of months of solid production at AAA next spring to get the call to LAA. I was hopeful that maybe he'd win the RF job in ST, but I think that's a longshot at this point.

Agreed - it makes sense that LAA would want him to show some solid production at the AAA level before being called up. Adell is only 20 and he's got plenty of time to make the necessary corrections. Everything is still on schedule even if he has to spend some additional time in AAA (for example his route may be similar to that of Kyle Tucker).
hailfire4 413
3-5 today with a HR 2B and a single and a SB. Average up to 300. maybe slump over?
Flyman75 5,064
With Kole Calhoun signing with Arizona, what is the anticipated arrival time for Adell? Obviously, it'll partly depend on how he performs in AAA as well as the performance and health of Goodwin and Upton. But Calhoun moving on does certainly seem to open up the door for Adell to be up sooner than later.
hailfire4 413
If he rocks spring training he will prolly start the season in CF for the Angels. The Angels have never really held prospects down to manipulate service time. Then again the Angels last decent prospect was Trout?

hailfire4 413
Trout and Adell are going to have to cover for Justin Upton in the OF. Since Trout has gotten paid maybe he volunteers to let the young kid man CF. Either way Adell replacing Kole Calhoun in RF for a year or 2 is not a bad thing either. If Adell ain't ready Goodwin will prolly hold that job til Adell takes over.
