Jacob Faria or Alex Reyes?

Reyes for me, assuming TJS didn't ruin him of course.

With how common it is these days I expect him to bounce back just fine though.

Easy choice for me.

To this point, I just read recently that there is a study out there that examined the timetable and success rate of pitchers coming back from TJS, they compiled data from like 1000 pitchers. In the study they said players of Reyes age typically take 15.4 months to recover and have a 94+% success rate. So yea I think he has a really good chance of being just fine.

For the OP I'd take Reyes pretty easily. He has front of rotation upside and he floor this year is likely a late game high leverage reliever. Either one I'd likely take over Faria, although I do like him as well.

Reyes, he was at or near the top of prospect lists, TJ is not end all be all, and like some mentioned above, the situation for Faria just is not good in Tampa in terms of support for wins, ballparks and lineups he faces in AL East, which the MLB schedule is division weighted, so it matters.
