Have done football and basketball for a long while, now looking to get into a baseball league!

Then if I may offer a suggestion.  Avoid any of these pay leagues this first season.  Some of them will see you as a new player they can fleece.  Especially ones with higher entry fees.  Most are fine and friendly but pick the wrong one and it could ruin your venture into fantasy baseball.  You could maybe play in a for free league or even a public league at Yahoo or ESPN (both are free platforms) to get your feet wet.

Everyone is different.  I started out in public leagues and enjoyed them fine for a couple of years then out grew them and moved on to private dynasty leagues then deeper (more teams, deeper rosters, prospects etc) private dynasty leagues so I play at a pretty high level now.  But I never ever played in a pay league.  I play with hardcore owners but we play for the love of the game so don't feel pressured to join a pay league if you don't want.  Free leagues are in no way inferior.  There are plenty of highly competitive free private leagues.  And of course the 2 major free sites -- Yahoo and ESPN -- offer free public leagues as well.

I just wanted to post this because whereas most pay leagues listed here are fine some are not.  No one vets these posts that way.  And someone posted last week about a scam league or leagues that were operated by someone and three other people also chimed in saying they got ripped off there too.  So let the buyer beware.

Good luck and welcome to fantasy baseball.  It may not be your favorite over football of basketball but stats do fit baseball better than any other sport so I think you will enjoy getting into it.

This is a $50 points league. Points leagues are more like what you are used to playing football and basketball. DO NOT PLAY a 5x5 or 6X6 if you are new. Plus those type leagues suck, they can be confusing and they are boring. Fantasy baseball is played Everyday, as such it does take a little time everyday to keep up with it. You must be active and vigilant with it, if not you will not be happy. Good luck in your pursuit.

And I think 5x5 and 6x6 are superior and tons of categories just water down homers and quality starts and such and makes the whole league really skewed weirdly teh more categories are added.  I also don't like points leagues so not everyone likes the same thing.  I do agree you have to keep up daily.  Unless you play in a weekly league which I also don't like, heh.
