Take out Trout and where are the Angels?

Mookie and JRam (and Lindor, & JD, etc.), despite being better players, are punished in your voting because they happen to have better teammates. Got it.

In general, that’s not how the voting will go.

Miggy over Trout in 2012 and 2013 showed that the voters dont put much stock into WAR.

He's not better than the Boston or Cleveland duos but he deserves an honorable mention.

That was 5+ years ago. Things have changed quite a bit. Also, Miggy hit for a triple crown, which hadn’t been done in decades. KDavis is doing what Nelson Cruz does every year. Not a great analogy.

Yeah, he deserves an honorable mention.

From red hot to ice cold.

Yep...he's 5 for his last 48. But streakiness comes with owning Khris Davis. I don't think anyone expected his BA to stay over .260. In fact, it's right about where it should finish this season. It would be crazy if he finished with a .247 BA for the fourth season in a row.

  • 4 weeks later...

He hit his 48th bomb of the year tonight.

More importantly he is now sitting at a .247 batting average. 2015-2017 he finished with exactly a .247 BA. What are the chances he finishes the season hitting .247 for the 4th year in a row?

I guess with Davis you know exactly what your going to get. 40 bombs and a .247 batting average.

Hahaha!! This is the craziest thing I've seen in a while. Four consecutive seasons of .247 BA, three consecutive seasons of 42+ HR and 100+ RBI.

Don't pencil it in...ink it in: .247-90-45-115 in 2019. Lol.

At this point, hard to argue with the consistency that KD has shown.  I will again target him this year, though his ADP has to jump.  Not because he has done anything else different, but with the A's performance this year he won't be flying under the radar anymore.
