10giz 144
Anybody think he'll get regular usage as a middle reliever? Seems crowded back there once Reyes comes back.

Picard56 1,281
Could this guy be this years Josh Hader? Those relievers that get 1-2 innings in some games and rack up the k's are becoming more and more valuable these days, even in leagues without holds.

So whenever the next time after he's added your waivers or FAAB runs, that's when you could claim him. I'm not 110% sure that's the case in all ESPN formats though. If you read my original post, I said, "and then he'll be subject to waiver claim". 100% that's how it works in ESPN

BMcP 8,609
You shouldn’t expect elite K’s, but his ratios should be quite good

Unless it is straight as an arrow at 100mph. Was he getting his movement when he dialed it back to 95 and he was getting some misses off his slider.

He seems to be keeping it down in the zone since it's a two-seamer and so it's a bit more hittable than if he were to elevate it. Not that he hasn't or he can't.
BMcP 8,609
He’s an extreme GBer with a heavy, ultra-fast sinker. It’s obviously a successful approach but limits his K-upside.

In his first 26 MiLB starts (~140 innings) he was under 7K/9. Thats pretty underwhelming. He didnt start striking anyone out until his final 5 starts at High A, but that was only 27 innings. It must be because his first outing wasn't in the databse. I'm going with that.
phisouza33 529
What kind of league would this guy be useful in? Would anyone play him in a RP slot over a true reliever? Is he just a guy to keep an eye on if he becomes a starter??

dkrocka 267
He should throw it up in the zone more. He's not going to close. He's more valuable than spot starting. That's about it. This thing could could completely neutralize righties if he throws it at your chin.
