brach blew first save opp of the season - 2 walks and 2 soft singles.  nothing hard hit, but the walks are killer.  meanwhile, o'day pitched a clean 8th.

This exactly, nothing hard but he let them have a chance with wild control.

O'Day clean inning in the 8th, now Givens a clean inning in the 10th. Right after Brach blew the save. Too early to overreact obviously but hopefully not a trend for Brach owners.

Why would you think that?

Is Melanson season over?

Why wouldn’t you Just DL him

You could, but I would rather stash other pitchers to be honest.

Everything that's being said doesn't sound good....at all.

Addison Reed clean inning. Fernando Rodney struggling.

EDIT: Rodney gets a 5 man IF double play to get out of bases loaded jam.

Trevor Hindenburg started that mess.  If Rodney doesn't get out of it, he'll live again.

Hildenberger is the future closer of that team. Keep an eye out for him.

Bochy on when he’ll have an active Mark Melancon: “I’m hoping within a couple weeks. I think that’s realistic. But until he starts throwing, that’s a hard one to answer.”

Well that seems pretty optimistic considering he can't throw 30 feet without pain right now, and it's the same pain from last year. I guess if you here DL space, he's worth holding onto for now and wait and see if Bochy is accurate at all.

Bruce has no reason to be anything less than optimistic at this point. The Giants arms are a total dumpster fire.
