BigPapi44 1,050
Figured this guy deserved his own thread. Marsh has been mashing as a 20 year old (not 21 until end of December '18) in the Midwest League. He put up strong numbers last year in rookie ball, but was often hurt. He was a two sport athlete in high school, so he has only recently committed full-time to baseball, and therefore is a bit behind some others his age in terms of his development. I believe the Angels have him playing CF in Burlington. He is athletic and has speed. He's 6'4 210lbs, he is developing some power but I don't think he will ever be a plus plus power guy. Seems more like a 20-20 type if all works out. If he has not already been picked up in your league, I would grab him now before he's gone. Tryptamine 927
Kind of weird that he doesn't have a thread yet as publications like BA have been hyping him big since early last year. When he's on the field he rakes, but he often injured. With that said, there's a growing contingent that believe he's the best Angel prospect ahead of Jo Adell. As was mentioned, grab him now, because he's the type of talent that could rocket up boards.
JakeSarna 312
Good tout on Marsh. He's a monster in the making. Just look at the dude...everything about him screams future star. He's got a beautiful developing hit tool, plus raw power, above average speed and a cannon of a right arm. The angels scored big time with him
brockpapersizer 12,027
He's a big candidate to break out. I picked him up last year and sold him a few weeks ago for a nice profit, and not because I was down on him either. Some evaluators in the angels system have him on par with addell.

I really want to see a Marsh/Trout/Adell of in a few years. Make NFL teams jealous.
BigPapi44 1,050
3-4, 2Bs and BB. I think he'll be on most Top 100's after this season.

TheK1d 7
Seems to me that Marsh has been one of the underrated prospects this year. He came in today with a slash line of: .287/.378/.414/.792. his number's are compare or a bit better to a guy like Krilloff.
24/7fantasysports 316
Is he still striking out a lot?
svdude 333
He's been working out at 1B. Think they bring him up this year to get some exposure to MLB pitching? Not like Pujols is doing anything to keep him down. And he could also take time away from Upton/Goodwin in OF.

ST. STEVEN 4,447
Really interesting prospect, seems to be falling in the at 30-50 range on the big pub lists. I always like guys that have plus defense to help aide their ascent up the ladder, also seems to grade well for contact, bat speed and ability to control the strike zone. I noticed he spike up to #19 on Kiley's list that came out today. Here is the recent pipeline write-up: "Throughout his pro career, Marsh has shown an ability to make hard contact and get on base, with a walk rate over 10 percent to show for it. With strength and bat speed, there’s always been raw power to tap into, but he hadn’t done much of that until 2019, when a change in his setup at the plate -- standing more upright -- helped him slug .520 in August and .522 in the Arizona Fall League. He continued to get to his power at the Angels’ alternate camp in 2020, hitting seven homers in just over 100 at-bats, showing power to all fields, while still walking at a 20-percent clip." "Marsh’s other three tools -- his speed, arm and defense -- are all plus and were all consistently on display at the alternate camp. He has the goods to play center field long-term, but can easily handle either corner to flank Mike Trout in the Angels’ outfield."
desert86 72
I saw a Charlie Blackmon comp somewhere, and while that's clearly 99th percentile outcome it is encouraging. Maybe he is what everyone thought Benintendi would be.

Maybe he is what everyone thought Benintendi would be. Maybe a decent rough comp for his bat? But Blackmon was never very good in the field--where Marsh could bring plus/plus defensive value, even if forced to a corner. I did notice we seem to have a high water rank with Marsh come out last week, as FanGraphs listed him #15 overall.
