Season outlook does not look good.

I concur; guy is the highest paid player on that team and playing like doodoo. At some point that new first year coach, Borrego, will be looking out for his own survival by playing guys who are hungrier and more productive. Plus, Kemba is the face of that team and I don’t think MJ can afford to watch him leave simply because they could not put a winning team on the floor every night.  I can see Borrego sitting him often for long stretches in games in which he starts out struggling, which is pretty much every game.

All jokes aside, reallyy starting to lose my patience with this guy but the problem is the waiver wires in 12 teamers are slim to none 🤷‍♂️

He's an end of bench guy in 12 teamers.  With his recent injury history and age, if you drafted before the last round you were taking a risk.

Batum is just 29. Marc Gasol performs much better at the age of 33 and he's been injured many times as well so not an excuse. It's just the usage rate fluctuates due to Kemba Walkers style of play and high usage. And considering the teams current rosters, lots of mouths to feed. Batum is less aggressive nowadays compared to when he's still in Portland

He'll be 30 in 2 weeks, most people's primes are around 28.  Expecting anything better than last year, especially considering he's recovering from a recent injury, doesn't make sense.  He's currently putting up last year's stats minus 1.5 assists and 2 points, but on much, much better percentages.  Lots of mouths to feed isn't really relevant, considering his value comes from non-point categories.  I think people were hoping he would put up 2016's numbers, which was possible but unlikely because a) wrong side of his prime b- recent injuries c) young wing players developing around him and d) Kemba.  Best case is he puts up last year's assist numbers with similar scoring ROS.  Expecting him to be what he was in portland or early hornets days isn't probable, and Kemba isn't going anywhere.
