Jakeem Grant 2018 Outlook

WR Dolphins and KR/PR specialist. Had a big 102 yard return TD in week 1 along with 7 targets, 5 catches, 38 yards.

He's probably not relevant in most leagues but for those in KR/PR leagues (like mine), he should probably be picked up.

I don't doubt this guy's talent at all. Every time he has had an opportunity he has performed. It may take an injury for him to tuly breakout on to the scene though.

4.34 40 yard dash. Tyreek Hill type skill set.

Thanks for this. As a Jakeem Grant owner in a PPR league that includes return yards, I have a newfound appreciation for Grant.

What I'm trying to figure out is if I should start him this week vs the Jets.

Interesting in return yardage leagues and a nice stash for if/when Amendola gets hurt, but unfortunately once Parker returned his snap counts got cut in half.  Now I understand he had a blow up game, but please be aware he did it on just 3 targets, from NINE (9) snaps, 20%. (Last week without Parker he played on 53% of the snaps, 40% in week 1.)

Week 3 breakdown:

Stills played 91% (40/44 snaps)

Parker played 75% (33)

Amendola played 70% (31)

Albert Wilson played 23% (10)

and as stated above

Jakeem Grant played 20% (9)

For return yardage leagues, he's an interesting stash, as he's currently averaging 104 return yards a game. (That's an extra 5 points per game in 20:1 leagues)

In a return yardage league, I grabbed him after week 1 for $8 ($100 FAAB budget) and no one bid against me.  This week more people will be looking after seeing his game logs of 21, 9, 26, but I still think that's about the right price, if not less.  I wouldn't bid less than 4 and wouldn't bid over 10, just my opinion.  It really depends on league settings, scoring, and whether the people you play against will see 9 targets in 3 weeks and call him a fluke, or see that he's currently the 14th highest scoring WR in these leagues, and over pay.  No one can gauge your league better than you.

Good Luck.

Kick Returns give him enough of a floor to be worth starting in my kr/pr league. Hope he gets more involved in the offense though, only 9 snaps is concerning. Still a threat to score any time though.

If Miami doesn't find a way to get this dude the rock every game, they deserve to lose. He is an electric playmaker. I don't see him ever going full Tyreek Hill but he obviously has the speed and elusiveness to draw some poor man's Hill comps. I remember when they said Hill was just a gadget player too so... yeah, I took a dart throw in my dynasty.

It almost astonished me how little they use this guy - until I remember Adam Gase is his coach.  For those interested, go take a look at how he finished last season.  I took a flier on him in my return-yardage league, and every week I wonder why I’m not just starting him every week.  In defiance of the odds, they keep giving him less work and he keeps putting up more points!

Let Jakeem work!

He is looking like rookie Tyfreek in PR/KR leagues (.1/10 yards)

One of my favorite players ever. He'll be the fastest player on the field unless Miami is playing KC. Threat to take it to the house every time he touches the ball.

I'm a little biased, I've been watching Jakeem since college. He plays with a ton of heart and it's great to see him succeeding at this level.

I had him on my roster but waived him just before last week. Considering his returns which count in my league, he had his second huge day last week leaving me no opportunity to even pick him back up off waivers. I've been kicking myself a bit, but when I waived him I was thinking he would be hardly used. That said, when I was on my roster it encouraged me watching some highlights of his along with a recent video with him talking about his desire to be "great."
