NFL Start/Sit Thread 2018 Week 5

This thread is for discussing who you're starting and/or sitting for week 5 of the 2018 NFL season.

Because most non-obvious start/sit decisions depend on roster/format/league-specific context, feel free to include any of these considerations in your start/sit questions. Comments along the lines of "Who's Starting Player A?", "I'm Starting Player B over Player C", etc. in player threads may be moved to this thread or removed, at the discretion of the RW forums staff.

Jones(WR) v PIT

Ridley(WR) v PIT

Cooks(flex) @ SEA

Have Keenan Allen, John Brown and Tyler Lockett on my bench. Last year Keenan was top 5 in WR production, this year he isn't even Top 25, yet. Anyone want to talk me into starting him this week at home vs OAK? Just curious to hear people's thoughts, I think it' hard to go wrong either way as they're all likely to have good games.

Tough to keep Brown on the bench but obviously I'm pretty strong at WR. Lockett (15 PPG avg) is TD dependent and prob droppable in my 12 man PPR league, with 10 FAs recording more than 15 FP last week (there were 2 in week 1, and 3 each in weeks 2 and 3).

My locks are:

Julio Jones, Christian Mccaffrey

Pick three of the following (1 RB / 1 WR / 1 Flex):

Chris Thompson

James White

Dion Lewis

Jarvis Landry

Tyreek Hill

John Brown

Thanks !!!

PPR: I'd go Thompson, White, and Landry

Nonppr: I'd go Thompson, White, and Hill

Standard /NonPPR scoring league - head-to-head.

looking for a Flex Play:

- P.Lindsey(DEN) vs Jets

- J.Brown(BAL) vs Browns

- K.Cole(JAX) vs KC

Tough...between Lindsey and Brown for me, but seeing its nonPPR, I'd lean Brown.

Who do I start week 5?  Tom Brady or Blake Bortles?

Trying to figure that out too. Bortles is listed multiple times as a favorable match up against KC & with Fournette out, he's tended to have some big games. Indy isn't a defense worth noting, but KC's defense is really bad.

I'd almost go Bortles here.

Ridley or Edelman at the flex?

Ridley can't be benched until further notice.

Kenny golladay or Josh Gordon tonight?

.5 ppr

Golladay. Role is clearer and Stafford loves him.

Safe play is Brady. If you wanna go for upside and believe the matchup is that good for Bortles, roll with him.

16 Team Standard Scoring - need to set my WR3.

Gordon vs. Colts tonight.

Callaway vs Ravens Sunday.

Gordon. Can't be any worse than Callaway who I heard is possibly going to be getting reduced snaps.

I need week 6 help. Big Ben@Cincy or Jameis@Atlanta. Also, opponent has AB on his team. I'm leaning Jameis due to the awful Falcons D.

Thanks for the help. I'd go Big Ben. I don't trust Jameis at all to take advantage of a good matchup. Divisional games are tough. I could see Jameis getting picked 2-3 times.

If Geronimo is out I don't think he's a bad flex. I picked him up and am considering starting him in a must win game. Safe to say this fantasy season has sucked for me

Yep, I am in the same exact boat and I rolling with him. MVS is actually going to be my 3rd WR with Hilton being out. I choose him over guys like Taywan, Ryan Grant (all colts fill ins actually) and Ginn.

I figure if I am going down I would rather it be with a guy playing the Lions with Rodgers at QB. I know he is still extremely far from being any sort of safe, but I am assuming Cobb (hamstring) is out for sure, Adams (calf) seems banged up and will have Slay on him, and Allison (dizzys) could also be out. If all three of those are the case, I can easily see him getting 10 targets just off pure necessity. After I watched his college highlight film and the stuff from the preseason it at least seems like he can do something with them.

I am worried one of the other random rookies on GB could end up with the day I am hoping for MVS..  But in Rodgers I trust. Let's go
