we are all aware of that ... doesn't mean 11th hour lightning can't strike.

This whole thing is him wanting to getting that long term deal or sitting out to minimize/prevent injury. A trade does little towards that end. It didn't make sense when people suggested it week 1. It still doesn't.

Its all speculative in this thread at the moment anyways. Who knows what will happen

Disagree.  One of the uses I get from RW threads is cited information (and even recently amidst all the Bell stuff).  Perhaps, Schefter deleted the tweet...

Terrible copy of the link but it was this morning. He also reported DeSean Jackson won’t go anywhere.

Ok, here's what I found with the full quotes from Schefter on a radio show this morning:

https://www.bleedinggreennation.com/2018/10/30/18042040/nfl-trade-rumors-leveon-bell-desean-jackson-nick-foles-philadelphia-eagles-steelers-buccaneers-espn

"Le’Veon Bell is not going to be traded. He can’t be traded because he cannot be traded until he signs his franchise tender. He has not signed that franchise tender. He is not in the Steelers’ building. It’s now 8:10 Eastern on Tuesday morning. There is no sign, no indication of when he’s coming in. Now, I guess he could show up in the next seven hours and sign that franchise tender and Pittsburgh would trade him. There’s [just] so much that would have to come together. And he hasn’t even talked to the Steelers about what it would take to come back, whether they’d put him on the exempt list for two weeks…. So Le’Veon Bell is not going to be traded by the trade deadline today. Allow me to report that to you directly. He’s not going to be traded. Because he can’t be traded."

So, he's saying the same thing many posters have been saying all along, he can't be traded unless he signs the tender. It's weird because on one hand he's saying he definitely won't be traded and then on the other hand sites a scenario where it could still happen but would take a lot of moving parts. Odd.

Ah sorry my bad

i posted something that was a tweet. Didn’t mean to add to this madness.

I guess the 172 pages on this thread is all pure info.

It may get to 180 pages by 3:59 today.

NP...I actually don't doubt what you saw as he may have deleted it.  But thank you for even bringing to everyone's attention.  It kicked up more digging for info.

Based on that he is pretty much done for this season. Unless he shows up

He's not done for the season. He has to show up by Week 11 in order to be an UFA next season. I'm still shocked that people are expecting him before that.

Now, how the Steelers use him when he comes back will be another story.

Wrong.  The Steelers have to use the 3rd tag next year whether or not Bell ever signs or plays this season.  Read this thread to get caught up.

Dude, no one is reading 160 pages. Just cite the source.

This is also being debated due to vagueness/ambiguity/weakness in CBA language.

Relying on ESPN...let alone Fowler as a credible source is simply intellectually dishonest. I recommend the following:
