I think the fact that Houston has refused to bring him back up this season is being interpreted by some as a lack of need/commitment with regard to him and thus they discount his status as an elite prospect by looking at names like Bumgarner.  It has to be hard on him to have gotten one limited chance and then to have been held down at AAA where there isn't much development opportunity for him.  He hasn't helped himself over the last month but this feels like a "killing time" season.

Maybe. I didn't think it's that hard on him, mentally. It's not like they have glaring needs and just don't think he's ready. I thought he'd get the call before Alvarez but it's not like it was unjustifiable. Curious to see if he doesn't really end up at 1B.

So what’s the call now, now that the deadline has passed? Still gets a crack at getting called up?

Well they didn’t add an impact bat, so he’s got that going for him

Although he stopped short of calling Tucker “untouchable,” Luhnow noted, “I see Tucker as a part of this team going forward.” He added that “it would be very difficult for us to move one of the top prospects in the game who is just starting his career and is still young and looks like he’s going to have a lot of upside.”

Not sure if it's been discussed here but there was a mention on CBS fantasy podcast that Jim Bowden's theory is that AJ Hinch has some sort of problem with Tucker based off last year's call up. Anybody else here this?

Something like this was mentioned.

Have a feeling keeping him down is some sort of punishment.

If his home run causes a car crash and someone dies, would he be charged with manslaughter? And will the Astros front office be an accessory to it for having not called him up?

Is this finally it where Tucker gets the call with Carl potentially heading to the DL???

With Reddick playing like s--- too, it’s either now or never. That is, if Correa does indeed hit the IL.
