Aaron Jones 2019 Outlook

I did that 2 years ago with Jordan Howard, after he no-shows vs the Bucs and with the Steelers on tap.  He was my pick at 13.

Gurley was my pick at 12.

Anyway, Howard has a monster game.  I lose that week by a couple points.  Miss playoffs by 1 game.

Wasted a monster year, and playoff run, from Gurley.  Would've won the championship if I'd just made it in...

So I agree: don't bench your top picks early in the season

And then last year, I drafted Howard in the 3rd but refused to give up on him for a few weeks because I didn’t want to bench one of my top picks, and he proceeded to put up duds.

So it can go both ways. But yes, in general, you need to give your high draft picks a few weeks in your starting lineup.

The sell high buy low stuff gets completely carried away on here.     Here is a new strategy.  Jones is a good running back.  Keep him.  Start him.

I don't know what you guys were watching but I thought he looked fine. He will have better days ahead against much worse defenses than he's faced these first 4 weeks. I expect the whole offense to loo

"Against weaker defenses Jamaal Williams will be more effective? There's no difference in effectiveness between the two RBs?"   Jones had 5.5 YPC last year and sits at 5.0 for his career. Ja

Yea if he doesn't get enough touches/snap count % this week, I guess its time to panic

Yeah I started Howard last season the first 4 weeks and ended up losing all 4 of those weeks. Hindsight.

I too had the (dis)pleasure of having Howard again last year... and it was awful.

But if you had Howard, you got him in the 2nd/3rd round?

So who else did you have to put in?

Kerryon Johnson and I think James White were on my bench.

I went RB-RB-RB (Howard 3rd round) so actually had Howard in my Flex. I can’t remember now at the time what other RB/WR I had as an alternative, but anything was better than that dud.

Two things about Aaron Jones you may not know...

1. In the past two weeks, he is the #3 RB in Standard and #4 RB in PPR.
2. In his career, Jones has played in 8 games at home with Aaron Rodgers at QB. Jones has scored at least 1 TD in 7 of those 8 games (and 2 TD's twice).

Held Devonta to 11/22

Held Derruis to 10/18

This will be an Aaron Rogers game. This run defense is no joke. Their pass defense on the other hand...

Again,

Atlanta is 27th in the league in rushing yards per game.

WASH is 30th in rushing yards per game

DET is 18th in rushing yards per game

(Packers 24th)

What's GB ?

Just edited previous comment before posting this, GB is 24th. But they have played

CHI  DEF  5th lowest rushing yards per game

MIN  DEF 13/32

DEN DEF 16/32

Elgton Jenkins is a difference maker in the interior line as well.

Eagles are 2nd in the league in run defense.  29th in pass defense.

If you were a coach, which would you choose to attack with a HOF QB?
