Oh man he could have had 30 points if he didn't turn the ball over 6 times!

No if Mike Evan's would have caught the ball that was right in his hands. The 75 yard bomb he dropped couldn't have been a better throw. That was all on Evans on both accounts.

Perhaps you’re not aware of his touchdowns.

This is how I prepare to watch Jameis play.

Some people get enamored with the numbers but the boneheaded plays will never go away. This clown is total garbage and wasted 5 years of the Bucs with his suckage.

Well this is a Fantasy Football Forum, so yeah we tend to be enamored with the numbers.

How many Fantasy Points does Jameis get for a Buccaneers win?

We know he’s a trash real life quarter back. I knew that when I drafted him. But he had a horrific game with 6 turnovers and still managed to score 17 points in my league. I know every league is different but the point is no one drafted this guy for his high IQ. Even as bad as he is in real life, he still manages to get fantasy points. That’s why we drafted this hand eating moron. Numbers are literally all that matter in fantasy football.

I said this last year and got reamed in these forums for it. Everyone and their brother came out of the woodworks with an “I told you so” when he got benched.

Dropped.  Nobody is gonna pick him up.  Probably get him back before the ARI matchup.

I picked him up. They still have no defense, he has job security, little to no run game, amazing weapons, and his schedule gets super juicy. Is still average over 300 yards per game and tbh can't get much worse than last week and he still gave you 20.

I’m going down with this ship because I own all three of Winston godwin and Evans lol.

I still am the believer that it is near impossible to not be a fantasy producer when you have the wrs he has. I’ll deal with 3 turnovers if he has 350 yards and some tds

He either throws for 450 yards... with 4 picks and a fumble and gets me 10 points.

Or 450 yards for 4 touchdowns and gives me 30-40 something points.

I could not drop the guy... so much pass volume in that offense.

let’s not forget he’s somehow supporting two wr1s at the moment let alone one wr1 is trending towards top 18

He’s been similar to Wentz fantasy wise at least. Terrible real life QB though.

4 games his passer rating has been above 100, twice its been below 50.

Yes the Carolina game was miserably bad but they are a top defense and they were playing in London, I’ve always been in the camp that you can’t really put much stock into what happens in London as athletes are creatures of habit and playing in London breaks almost all those habits. Winston did just fine against this defense a month ago when they played in America.
If my QBs were Prescott or Jackson I would have no issue picking up and starting Winston.

How it the TEN defense? Do you guys think it will cause issues for Jameis balling out this week?

It depends on your definition of “balling out”. I don’t think the titans offense is good enough to force him to keep up and throw for 450 and 4, but I could see 300 and 2 as a reasonable outcome this week (basically rivers output from this week).

It’s a bad matchup this week for multiple reasons. Tennessee is much tougher against the pass than they are the run. They also have a bad offense that plays at a slow pace, making a shootout much less likely than usual. I’m benching Winston this week and suggest anyone with a decent alternative do the same.

Gave up 3 passing tds at home against Brissett week 2. I like Brissett, but Tampa has much better options in terms of wrs. Hopefully good Jameis shows up and hits 300 yards with 2-3 tds. Though good Jameis will still have a couple turnovers.

That’s not what I’ve seen. In fact quite the opposite. I guess it depends on what you’re basing it on. Why do you say they’re much tougher against the pass than the run?

I’m basing it on the fact that Tenn has allowed the 16th most points to RBs versus their 22nd most points to QBs and 26th most points to WRs.

These two sets of ranks seem to be in direct contrast to each other, interesting. I guess their real life good run defense hasn’t translated to fantasy scoring points allowed and vice versa. Perhaps because Tennessee is playing from behind often so opposing teams run a lot against them.

[...] As bad as Winston can look in real life, he's still manages decent fantasy numbers. Even so last week when he threw 5 picks, he still ended up with just under 18 points in my league. [...]

Interesting. Yea looks like fantasy points allowed aren’t lining up with non-fantasy metrics.

I suspect it may have to do with TDs. Ten hasn’t allowed a lot of points this year, so perhaps fantasy points allowed are lower. Maybe opponents have been able to move the ball through the air, but it hasn’t translated to TDs. Thus fantasy points allowed are low, but overall defense ranking against the pass is poor. I don’t have all the data to support this. Just a thought.
