$400 CBS H2H Points keeper League 1 spot open

Recommended Posts

Greetings!

We have an opening in our 12 team h2h points cbs league weekly league.  This is an established league which has been going for years stress free.  The league fee is $413 (the 13 dollars is a 1/12th share of the $149 cbs league fee).  All money collected is paid out.  We use leaguesafe for our dues.  We use a slow draft format which will begin on March 14th and have 4 hours between picks.  This gives us ample time to complete the draft prior to the season which begins on the 28th.  You are inheriting an existing team which has (Bryce Harper, Trea Turner and Anthony Rizzo as potential keepers) . You would keep two of these players for this year.  Below is a copy of our league details which explains our league in greater detail.  If you're interested let me know and I'll send you an invite.  We are a drama free league.  Thanks for shopping!

Evan

League Settings

-100% of monies collected will be paid out
Total payout pool: $4,800
Payouts: First place $2000, Second place $1,000, Third place $400 Highest cumulative point total for regular season $1000. Highest point total for single week during regular season $400. Highest weekly point total prize does not include the opening week of the season and the special 10 day post all-star period.

Operations Timeline
- Payment deadline: 1 day prior to draft
- Rule Change voting/discussion: Feb 20-Mar 1
- Keeper deadline: March 7th
- Draft : Mar 14th Slow Draft with 4 hours between picks
- Waiver and Trades open: Post draft completion
- Trade deadline: August 6th

First week of the season....season starts on a Thursday. The games that take place the first thursday thru sunday will be combined with the next week to make the first period 11 days.
All-star break....The three days of baseball following the all-star break will combined with the next scoring period to make one unified 10 day special scoring period. These two weeks will be exempted from high scoring period of the year consideration.

Playoffs
- 6 teams make the playoffs (The first 4 teams based on best record, 2 remaining teams based on highest season point total irrespective of record) If highest point totals happen to be the teams with the 4 best records, the next two highest point totals outside of the top 4 will qualify for the playoffs. If there are any record ties the tiebreaker will be total points scored for the regular season.
- Teams with the top two records get a first round bye. In case of a tie the first tie-breaker is the team that scored the most points for the regular season. If that is somehow a tie head to head record in the regular season between those two tying teams will determine which team gets the bye.
- First round of playoffs lasts for 1 week.
- Second round of playoffs lasts for 1 week.
-Third place will be determined by a one-week matchup. This one week matchup will be between the 2 semi-final losing teams. It will take place alongside the first week of the the 2 week world series.
- World series lasts 2 weeks (adding together total points for both weeks to determine winner). You will be able to reset your roster as per usual between the two week world series weeks. If the world series is a tie the teams will matchup for one more day (monday) with the highest scoring team that day being declared the winner.
-Third place is decided by the highest score of the two teams that lose in the semi-finals.
- The 6 teams that do not make the playoffs will participate in a consolation bracket. The winner of this playoff will win the first overall draft slot the following year. The losers bracket playoffs takes place over three weeks. Each matchup is one week long. Seedings for the loser's bracket are in reverse order of points scored. The team with the least amount of points in the regular season is the first seed and so on. The top two seeds in the loser's bracket get first round byes. If there are any ties the team with the fewest points gets the nod.
Ties in the world series final or the consolation final will be broken by team with the highest regular season winning percentage getting the victory.

Draft
- A snake draft will be conducted each year to fill rosters to 21. Plus there are 2 keepers for a 23 man roster.
--Draft order for the season is determined as follows.
The winner of the consolation bracket gets the number 1 pick in next year's draft. The world series winner gets the last pick in next year's draft. All other picks are determined by reverse order of regular season point total. The fewer the points scored during the regular season the higher the pick.
- Draft is 21 Rounds….90 seconds between picks…if time expires your pick will be auto-drafted
- Any person is eligible to be drafted. Any player not in the CBS player pool will need to be set as a marker for the team drafting him. This will be done by notifying a commissioner of the intended pick. Once the player is added to the player pool, the marker will be swapped out for the system player.

Keepers
- Two keeper League
- Keepers may be kept for 2 years once you declare them as a keeper.
- You are not obligated to keep your keepers for the full 2 years.
- If you declare new keepers the following year, those players are granted new 2 year contracts.
-Keepers are tradable and If a player is acquired via trade the new team can start a 2 year protection clock at the beginning of the following season.

Waivers
- Waivers will run 7 days a week
- Only players in the CBS player pool may be picked up via waivers
- If you add a player through waivers, there must a be a corresponding move for that transaction. That corresponding move may be a drop or placement of a player on the DL.
- Since the DL does not begin until the 25 man rosters are set, pre-season moves must have a corresponding drop. If an illegal roster is created during a pre-season waiver wire pick-up, the picked up player will be immediately dropped from the roster.
-Once your team has been eliminated for the year you are no longer permitted to make roster moves. Any move that is made will be reversed. Eliminated is defined as suffering a loss in either the consolation bracket or championship bracket.

Trades
- Trades are sent directly to the commish for approval. If you want your trade to go thru for the next scoring period the trade must be into the commish by 11pm on the Sunday eve. of the period you are making the trade. Any trade received after 11pm will be effective a week later. Not the next period. The only circumstance in which a trade will be rejected will be when collusion is suspected. Even then each side will have an opportunity to argue their case. A trade will not be rejected because it is subjectively viewed as one-sided. People are entitled to make a bad trade. They paid their money and it's their right. Suffice to say assume all trades will go through.

And.......

-The league will be run by the commissioner. The commissioner is Evan Beck. Esquire magazine once said of him that he's rumored to be a cruel man but fair. If there is a dispute that involves the commissioner the commissioner may recuse himself and Michael Lucas of South Florida to West Point fame will mediate. Michael will also make in-season commish moves if the commissioner is unavailable to preform his duties.
-Please keep in mind that the commish position is performed pro bono and it does take time and effort to maintain the league. The league rules and scoring system have been well thought out and have not been determined willy nilly. They are informed by a decade plus of playing fantasy baseball. While all of the league settings may not be your cup of tea hopefully you enjoy them overall. This is not a dictatorship however and all suggestions are welcomed if you think we can improve something. Having said this not all suggestions will result in a vote. It will be at the commissioner's discretion whether a suggested rule change be brought for a vote.
- Anything that is brought to a vote passes with a 51% or greater majority. This percentage will be calculated by the owners that vote. Owners that do not vote are considered abstained. The percentage will be calculated 3 days from posting time.
- The commissioner is allowed to make negligible rule changes when something occurs that is unforeseen and/or not covered by the rules, and when the rule will not change the outcome of any games during the season. He will also mediate any disputes that come up between teams.
