Cmilne23 10,559
Keep in mind he’s had a few MRIs over the years. And came out unscathed. So before you go Tom from office space and start your car in your garage, let’s not jump to conclusions.

Cmilne23 10,559
This is one situation where Mets medical staff could help. Elbow could be barking, they’ll diagnosis him with strep throat and clear him to keep pitching. Elbow could be hanging by a thread for all we know. But what we don’t know won’t kill us. He had one in May of 2017 and everyone thought it was bad then, turned out to be nothing. Let's all hope for the same outcome again.

elsegundo 335
"The Mets believe the issue is minor." Not exactly reassuring given their track record, but we'll hope for the best.
Dark One 495
Yep, this is what organizations do when ace pitchers suddenly have elbow or shoulder soreness - they schedule them for MRI's immediately.

Fantasy Baseball Geek 344
Just heard on the pregame that there's a belief by some in the organization that he's been at a higher risk of joint inflammation due to the strep throat. Apparently they did an MRI when he signed the contract and all checked out good. As of now there's no panic within the Mets and they're just being very cautious. Let's all hope that's all this is. But I do like that they sent him for an MRI right away. This is the complete opposite of what they did with Syndergaard and his lat issue. 1
