Last year he finished as the number one player and this year he's currently 7 on the player rater. If you took him anywhere you did well. There were certainly a few better non Trout picks this year, but that still doesn't seem like a mistake. Anyone who confidently had Yelich over Betts because of some algorithm they have developed is wasting their time in fantasy baseball and should be using that to make money gambling or something. Getting the number 7 player with the 2nd pick is a result I take all day, even if theoretically there were a couple better picks that almost nobody else was making. I meant this year. And by error I just mean assuming he was repeating everything.

It's difficult to return profit on players you spend a lot of money in auction on. Auction league drafting turns on mid tier and $1 values ( Besides trading and waiver wire pickups). That's why stars and scrubs is a viable strategy. Mookie will be a top 5 pick next year. He's really good at baseball. Mookie is great! You disappeared on this thread for months while Mookie was struggling. Suddenly he has a hot week and you reappear and start tagging posts with laughter reactions. Should you not have been here all along telling us to calm down and not overreact? If there's anyone who isn't convinced of his talent, I'm kind of thinking it's Brock. He's ranked 16th overall in my h2h league that counts OPS as a 6th category. The only thing that saved him this season is his perfect health and his extremely high number of runs scored that occurred due to the emergence of Bogaerts and Devers as MVP candidates. The latter is a convincing reason he may not steal many more bases rest of season and beyond. Edited July 28, 2019 by KingJoffrey

Don't remember posting much in this thread this year. I thought you would have learned your lesson when you called him mediocre last year year and he was the #1 player. Guess not. Pretty sure I haven't wavered on Mookie being good at any point in his entire career on this forum. Don't know why you have it out for this guy, don't really care either honestly, if you haven't figured out Mookie is elite by now, thats on you.

I said Mookie was mediocre for a 1st round pick not mediocre overall. I don't have it "in" for anyone. His 2017 and 2019 stats have not been worthy of a top 5 pick. That is all. My league doesn't count OPS (because it's a standard league), but runs count. Also health counts, since every game counts because being healthy matters.

Health matters but it's not like when a player gets injured you need to just go with a vacant slot. Health matters a lot more in deep leagues.

william 32
FYI - watching the Red Sox game and Cora and the trainer came out to take a look at Mookie while he was standing at 1B when the Royals made a pitching change - looks like he's staying in - but lets pray it stays that way

On the AB when they looked at his ankle, he fouled a ball directly off the inside part of his ankle. Edited August 6, 2019 by Wytchclt55

LarryDavid 534
I know he’s out again today but I haven’t been able to find any update on the foot injury. I know he supposedly saw a specialist yesterday so I was hoping something would come out today. Have a weekly lock league in the ship this week and I am trying to decide if I should even roll the dice. Seems unlikely he would play if his foot was still hurting at all considering they are out of it. Man this playoffs has been brutal with injuries.

An MRI taken Monday on Mookie Betts' ailing left foot showed only inflammation. That's great news, but Betts is not in the Red Sox starting lineup on Tuesday night against the Giants and it's unclear whether he will play again this season. The reigning AL MVP is sitting on a .918 OPS with 28 home runs, 78 RBI, 15 stolen bases, and 131 runs scored over 144 games. Mother f
