All of whom apparently suck now

Actually K% stabilizes the quickest for hitters at around 60–80PA so it has meaning.

Or Matt Davidson. I love/hate the first month of the baseball season.

This feels like one of guys that I literally have no confidence in and completely ignore and ends up becoming the sleeper pickup of the year like a Max Muncy or Scooter Gennett or something...

So does this dude get the full time gig at 1B if Lamb misses time?

I think so - and I feel sure Lamb will miss time

Is he considered a rookie or not? I know he played for the Orioles in 2014 but that was like 5 games

It's either 130 or 150 ab's I believe, and he qualifies either way. I think he gets a shot at playing time, he just needs to run with it. He's on the perfect team to get a long look.

One thing we've learned in recent years is that MLB teams are not really interested in mediocre fielders at 1st who have good but not great pop.  He also is a bellow average walker, which we don't really care about in average leagues, for the most part.

Point being, his being stuck at AAA might be a case of a guy who has nice fantasy value but so-so MLB value and of course being behind Chris Davis when he was good, then Goldy.

What’s the story on this guy? He has great average velocity ranking towards the top in the league as well as XBA.  But is he going to lose his spot when Lamb comes back? Power seems intriguing, curious as to what people think about him ROS.

Yes. He is a rookie.

His hardhit% is 69%! Which is good for #2 in the league, behind only Gallo. And Gallo is hitting 31% FB while he is hitting 37% with less grounders also.

Has increased his walking rate to 12% this year while his K% rate is also down. These stats are backed by a lower swgstr% and lower O-zone swg%.

And just for kicks has 2SB this year already surpassing most projections for his SB total for the year.

In other words...he has improved discipline, increased contact rate, and increased contact quality while showing more willingness to run. Could we ask for anything more? Breakout alert.

Ive already been hearing about his contact quality and how hard he hits the ball, but whats really impressed me his is BB% and contact rates going up. He has walked quite a bit the last few games after going through a mini-slump. If he can keep up the plate discipline really has a high ceiling.

How good is this dude ? Lol

Picked him up yesterday for a stream. Guess I'm holding.

Feels like this dude was coming up in the Orioles system forever ago. One of those dudes who put up good stats in AAA but just never really got a legit look. Really playing for his career right now.
