Imaginary Brick Wall also had an opening night prospect rundown. No idea if it will be regular, but I like his stuff.

Razzball had a write up from last night. Might be an occasional feature during the week.

Came here to mention these both. Both solid write ups. Believe both will run throughout the season. Curious, was IBW’s free for you? I subscribed to his patreon earlier this month so not sure if that milb rundown was free or patreon content

With minor league Opening Day here, this thread is for providing updates on a daily basis of how prospects performed around the minors. If there are prospects that you are following, feel free to post

First off thanks for the recommendation, SpartyOn4! And this forum is awesome to keep track of minors players. Minor League Ball had a different feel for sure, but this place can be great in its own r

George Kirby, RHP, high Single-A Everett (SEA) 5 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 8 K, 76 pitches, 49 strikes, 2 groundouts, 2 flyouts Julio Rodriguez, RF, high Single-A Everett (SEA) 1-for-4, HR (3

Minor League Ball had a different feel for sure, but this place can be great in its own right. As for my content, I generally put out 1 post a week on Monday for free up on my website, and then the rest of the week will be on my patreon. I only posted the opening day rundown post on my patreon too because I was off my usual schedule and didn't want you guys to miss it.

From BA

Logan T. Allen, High-A Lake County — Allen, a 2020 second-rounder, excelled in his first start, striking out eight batters in five shutout innings while allowing a hit and a walk to pick up the win against Lansing.

i think its been mentioned before, but since the death of minorleagueball.com, has anyone else taken the reigns on daily prospect recaps?

I checked milb.com and couldn't find a good summary.  but perhaps i'm not looking in the right place.

Was about to say, this thread closely resembles Sickels’s old site!

He needs to be promoted yesterday

100% he's 22 so makes it super hard to judge. At least we have confirmation on the power potential.

Yeah the assignment was way too conservative, but he's proving it and then some, A+ usually isn't a much bigger step up either. I could see him finishing the year in AA. That would be cool.

Ronny Mauricio, SS, high Single-A Brooklyn (NYM)

3-for-5, HR (1), 2 2B (4), 4 RBI, 2 R, K

.429 average, 1.395 OPS this season

I expect he gets promoted in a week or two at this rate. Really needs to be challenged, it was kind of  a conservative assignment to keep him in A ball, even if it is technically a promotion from where he finished 2019.
