With minor league Opening Day here, this thread is for providing updates on a daily basis of how prospects performed around the minors. If there are prospects that you are following, feel free to post

First off thanks for the recommendation, SpartyOn4! And this forum is awesome to keep track of minors players. Minor League Ball had a different feel for sure, but this place can be great in its own r

George Kirby, RHP, high Single-A Everett (SEA) 5 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 8 K, 76 pitches, 49 strikes, 2 groundouts, 2 flyouts Julio Rodriguez, RF, high Single-A Everett (SEA) 1-for-4, HR (3

Might need to make a Gunnar Henderson thread shortly. Absolutely raking in Low-A right now.

3-6 today with 3 doubles and 5 RBI. Slashing .357/.419/.786 with 3 HR and 2 SB. I believe all 3 of his HR thus far have been opposite field shots. Impressive power display from a teenager.

One guy I am speculating on in deep dynasty is CLE SS, Owen Miller.

Couple more hits in AAA Columbus last night and his season line is; 20 for 40 for a nifty .500/.535 and a 1.235 OPS

He came over from SD in the Clevinger trade and is a career .314 hitter in his minor league career.

So I was looking at him and still a bit skeptical. His K rate is higher than I expected and BABIP is out of this universe. He's not necessarily a thumper so not really sure what to make of this insane run.

Owen Miller SS/2B CLE with another 2 hits tonight (2B) and a walk. Now hitting .479 with a 1.207 OPS on the year.

Gimenez sent down...I don't think Rosario is the answer at SS, but the Tribe need bats regardless. Might be on the cusp?

I'm starting to take the position that velocity means absolutely nothing to me.

clase hits 100 but he has no clue where the strike zone is.  Much like alot of these pitchers coming up this day in age.

thats great.

also looks like 4.1IP outings are in his future.

Of course i'm being facetious, but again velocity doesn't anything for me anymore.

It certainly matters. Sure 100 isn't what it used to be, but if you don't have it you are at a huge disadvantage.

Hitting 100 is like throwing a no-hitter these days. Nothing special ... Now if someone says to me he's throwing 100 with impecabable command and 3 plus pitches i'll listen

Right. That's a logical conclusion to come to after a total of (2) appearances in his pro career.
