💚 CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG??!1?!? 💚

Rashaad might be catching up to Carson because of the fumbles, but he's still got to finish him. I think we know how this will end...

1. Byes

2. He's not very good

Penny is honestly just as good as Carson... Carson is injury prone and prone to fumble.  But that being said they both are going to step on each others touches.  Plus Seattle is finally realizing they are a better team when they put the ball in Russ' hands rather than these RBs.

You are not watching football if you truly believe this.  Ask any Seahawks' fan and the answer will always be Carson.

Please stop saying he is "fumble prone".  Guy had 3 FLs in 247 carries last season so it was never a real issue.

He does the job as a change of pace back for that team but when all things are equal, Carson is the best fit for that offense.  Penny at this point is a bust for a 1st round pick.

Carson is prone to fumble.  Some how his overall stats have been glitched out but the guy has fumbled and lost all 3 fumbles this year.  Go back and pull the boxscores to his first 3 games.  3 fumbles in 4 games, yeah not good.

He had 3 fumbles last year in 247 carries last year also not good.  Not the worst but certainly not a stat any football coach would consider dependable.

To highlight what a dependable back who doesn't fumble looks like:

Between 2018 and 2019

Todd Gurley 0 fumbles in 305 carries (used to be prone)

Saquon Barkley 0 fumbles on 298 carries

Joe Mixon 0 fumbles in 284

Nick Chubb 0 fumbles in 270

Phillip Lindasy 0 fumbles on 246

Keep in mind with this list above that all of these backs get far more receptions than Carson as well (Chubb is fairly equal).  Then there's an even longer list with guys who only have 1 fumble over the last 20 regular season games and even more guys with only 2 fumbles over that time.  Chris Carsons has 6 fumbles in his last 18 games.

So my question to you is, who are these fantasy relevant running backs that fumble more per touch than Chris Carson cause I'm going to say Chris Carson is number 1 and Zeek is probably the only other player close to him in fumbles per touches.  But I've done enough research here this seems like a project for you the one digging their heels in on saying Carson isn't prone to fumbling.

Eric Dickerson put it on the ground a bunch too. Is Penny better than him also? the arguments that Penny is equal to Carson are ludicrous. Penny might be good but Carson is a top 10 back. You can’t measure heart and desire but you can see it. Carson is a Benjamin vs the Penny.

One lost fumble every 82.3 touches is absolutely an issue. Not a good rate at all.

He's already lost 3 fumbles on 81 touches this season. He is currently tied 3rd in the league in '19 for lost fumbles.

So, in in his last 18 games [2018 weeks 1-16 (missing 2 games) through week 4 of '19] he has lost 6 fumbles on 328 touches. That's a lost fumble every 3 games and every 54.6 touches.

Feel free to split hairs/opine which RB is more talented but to dismiss Carson's fumbling history as a "non-issue" would be illogical...the stats/facts say other wise.

Aside from his fumbling issues, Carson is a much better talent than Penny. You really can't say "just as good," Carson has a little Beastmode in him that Penny just doesn't have. Penny is a "take what they give you" RB, but you don't see him creating additional yards like Carson will.

What are the chances that Penny could every be used more like Prosise?  Is that a potential reality?  Does he have the hands to be that pass catching back but also keep the defense on their toes because he is a strong runner.

Another unrelated thought - maybe Penny saw how Carson ran last week and perhaps he understands what he has to do (probably not)

He probably thought Carson left a lot of yards on the field by not bouncing enough.

What are we thinking for usage tonight? Think he can get 10+ touches?

I expect Penny to get 35-50% of the touches tonight. I've heard he could have played Sunday, but they choose to keep him inactive. It was only 4 days ago that Carson brought his lunch pail to the game and accrued a workhorse 26 touches. The coaching staff recognized that they had an important game with the Rams only 4 days later and choose to make Penny inactive so that he'd have fresh legs for Rams.

At this stage Carson is clearly the better back, but expect to see Penny and his fresh legs a lot in this particular game.

What I am about to state contains zero exaggeration.

Saying Penny is as good as Carson is the worst take I have ever heard.

Wish we knew what his workload will be. Already faced with a bye week and thin ww, may be forced to start this guy and cross our fingers.

Right there with you unfortunately, may be forced to suit him up [...]

Zeke, CMC, Conner, DJ, and multiple other backs fumbled on a very similar percentage to Carson last season.

You know, it’s sometimes good to do research rather than spitting random stuff out.

Here’s a reasonable take. Penny has gotten more than 10 carries ONCE in his career and put up 108 and a TD (on 12 carries). It’s fair to say that some RBs need to get into a rhythm before they start breaking off big plays. So we can’t exactly pass judgement when he literally hasn’t gotten a fair shake yet.

I will join you in the minority in regards to Penny's value. Tonight could be a showcase opportunity with Carson coming off a heavy load just 4 days ago.
