StifleTower2 2,525
Jerami Grant-Top 50 last season in totals, has never missed more than 2 games per season, a good value at 102. You might be reluctant to draft him due to his new situation. When asked about Millsap's playing time, Mike Malone said that he would start yet would play fewer minutes. Someone asked, "How much lower, like 28 MPG?" Malone simple replied lower. E.g. Grant should have no problem getting 24 mpg at PF even with Millsap in the mix, unfortunately it's a timeshare, but Grant can also get 10 MPG at the SF position. I wouldn't be too worried about him hitting 32 MPG, like last season. He's 25, still has upside left, durable, checks all the boxes...Plus, I needed a SF.
slmroz 79
Ok, it was time for me to take some risk... because why not risk after 100?? I think Murray could be introduced back in the rotation slowly but some serious upside is definately there and we're talking about H2H after all... Not to mention that I needed some steals. Gile Pile 1,206
before you start questioning my sanity, you need to know that Dwight Powell was ranked 44th for last 2 months of the season. Getting him at 105 overall feels like a steal

Even in his best stretches, he barely scratched top 100, on 26 MPG. Season before that doesn't count bc he only played five minutes in one game. In his best seasons in Utah, when he had unlimited usage, he ranked 32nd and played 73 games. Boston replaced Irving with Kemba so that's a lateral move. They said Smart will start so Hayward will get playing time at the 2/3 as a backup. So what has really changed from last season? I don't see him improving much, though he could post top 100 value with another year away from injury. But even if you look at his peak Utah days he was really only ever a third round player and missed games. Where do you have him?

Utah ran the slowest team in the league and Hayward rarely was able to get out in transition. 6 Games with Kyrie: 6.3 points, 2.8 assists, 3.3 rebounds, 36% shooting 6 Games without Kyrie: 15.8 points, 4.2 assists, 4.7 rebounds, 57% shooting Wing guys benefited much more alongside Kemba, Kyrie's a completly different animal that's detrimental to wings in particular. The Celtics severely overpaid him but they just announced they have refused all trade talks on him. We're talking about Danny Ainge here, it isn't too far-fetched to think Hayward is set in stone as not only a valuable part of their lineup, but also the Celtics future. Seriously, the only way is up after a well needed one year pass to shake the jitters of that horrific leg injury. Even in spite of it he had some brilliant moments last season. Here are the guys drafted in the 6th round: Round 6 1. Taenggg: Jamal Murray 2. Kenny Mack Derrick Favors 3.Ganandorf: Bam Abedayo 4.Gile Pile: Danillo Gallinari 5.turner46: Ja Morant 6.Slmroz: TJ Warren 7. StifleTower2: Jonas Valanciuas 8.Styler: Terry Rozier 9. Christian: Ricky Rubio 10.Simsanityy179: Malcom Brogdan 11.Iowncrazyhair: Aaron Gordon 12. Bettercallhinkie: Hassan Whiteside Of these, the ones I'd arguably pick Hayward over, depending on need, are Favors, Ja, Rozier, Gordon, Whiteside. The problem with Hayward reaching top 50 (aside from recovering from an injury and missing games even prior to that) is that he has a replaceable skillset. Players with low usage can sneak into the top 50 when they get a lot of stocks. Hayward doesn't do that, even in his prime he didn't get many steals. He's not particularly efficient either, with splits of 47/83. So he needs usage to make an impact. He might get that, he might not. The problem is even a line of 18/4/4 with two threes and a steal which is basically his ceiling this year would put him in Jamal Murray territory. I'm not saying you can't roll the dice on him, but I'd think pushing even top 60th is a stretch, and there's risk of him finishing outside the top 100, in addition to missed games. StifleTower2 2,525
Thad is a pretty boring pick, backing up Otto and Lauri. But even in that role, I think he can play 25+ MPG. Not to mention Lauri and Wendell have injury risk...I think Young can get his. His finishes the past three seasons are 69/69/67 and games played 81, 81, 74. Even in Chicago I think he's solid for a top 80 finish and 80 games played. Stats maybe 10/5 with 1.4 steals, over 50% FG and under 1.5 TO. 65% FT on tiny volume. Nothing sexy at all, but I needed steals, and his floor is solid.
StifleTower2 2,525
Out of curiosity, where are people picking IT2 now that it’s confirmed Wall is out for the season, and Thomas says he’s healthy? Might be a timeshare but Ish is trash. I still think Thomas has upside for something like 20/5/2 with 2.5 threes and top 10 FT% impact. His rebounds and stocks were always trash so there’s no hope there. Lol he’s 5’9” he’s not blocking any shots. I think there’s an outside chance he can be LouWill lite. Worth taking a flyer? Worth a flyer because every pick at this point is just a lottery ticket. I don't have faith in Isaiah getting back to fantasy relevance though because his both of his hips are bad and his speed is what made him so good. He's worth a shot though because like I said, there's not anyone left that's a 100% sure thing stud.

This late in the draft its hard to find a guy who is only a couple years removed from 28ppg season. Although I think his hips are done, the minutes will be there, along with the opportunity to get a lot of shots.
