Someone said klay thompson with a 40 inch vertical. If that's the case he'd a a must add/ hold. He's good i just don't see klay level good, especailly this year.

He's like in the same tier as Rodney Hood and Danny Green. End of the bench dude or waiver wire add / drop multiple times extraordinaire.

12 man standard leagues is usually what's assumed. So in your opinion you think huerter is more rosterable than IT, fultz, derrick white, hunters in competitive 12 man leagues? I'm just trying to guage value here.

I rather have over IT and I dont want anything to do with Spurs pgs, unless a trade happens there. White atm is a stop gap until Murray gets more playing time.

Those guys have been in the league for years. This kids a second year. Can he break from that mold or is he just going to be that.

Hawks believe in him. It may not be this season that he is able to breakout but if he doesn't it will be because either he is not that good (at least yet) or he has more injuries that derail him. There is so much opportunity for him to thrive on the Hawks. They need another creator badly and with Collins coming back, the team will be much better overall, giving Huerter much more space to operate and shoot 3's. He hasn't shown too much yet, but he also was on restrictions until the injury. If you can afford to, it may be best to take a wait and see approach and give it maybe a 2-3 game sample size to see if you want to make the add. If you have some trash to cut now though and don't desparately need stats from his spot this week, worth the speculative add on upside and opportunity alone.

Idk why ppl talk down on the hype. The hype is legitimately there. The last 3-4 games before he got injured he was providing pretty serviceable numbers, too 80/90 numbers seem legit for this guy and if you have an IL spot why not take this risk??

Still salty over that one, & he only played 15 mins. That felt like “The Breakout” game to be honest

I can finally talk about him again since I finally scooped him back up yesterday and I'm safe from league mates seeing my hype.  We haven't had any chance to see what his full potential is yet as he was coming off the bench and got hurt just as he got put into the starting lineup, but he showed a lot of promise even off the bench.  That first half against Denver was setting him up for a big night.  Atlanta is in desperate need of more playmakers, so I have really high hopes for this guy.

If he's on your waiver get him now, even on the minutes restriction.

Kevin Huerter (left rotator cuff) will be on a 15-20 minute limit for Wednesday's game vs. the Nets.

Hope he’s kept up his conditioning and comes out hot. Would be nice if that minutes restriction is lifted much quicker... they do need his offense and shooting badly

I think it will be less restrictive each game. At least, that is how it was happening when he was being eased off his restrictions before the injury. So maybe like 18 min tonight, 22 next game, 25 next game, etc. up to hopefully 30-32 mpg or more...

What kind of stat line are we expecting once hes back up to speed??

15/3/4 with 1.8 threes 1.1 steals is possible??

Ya this looks about right. Maybe if he is fully unleashed more like 18/4/4 with 2.2 3s and a steal.

I think this is his absolute ceiling, probably only achievable once Collins comes back and takes some pressure off the perimeter with his inside threat

Didn't like his comments that his knee also still bothers him. If that is the case, I can't see the team unleashing him unless that goes away. I am pretty high on Huerter but that news pushed me away so I dropped for Rondo. Hopefully he will still be on the wire when he starts playing more.

According to Hawks GM Travis Schlenk, Trae Young's usage rate will decrease once Kevin Huerter (shoulder, knee) is healthy.

Schlenk also cited the development of Cam Reddish and De'Andre Hunter. "Once Kevin gets fully back, you’ll probably see [Trae's usage] taper off because he can handle the ball a little bit more," he said. "As Cam and De’Andre start to develop more and Coach starts getting more confident in them handling the ball, you’ll see it go down." Usage is a key indicator of fantasy value, so this isn't great news for fantasy owners, but Young should be fine -- he's at 34.5% usage and a slight dip won't be the end of the world.

Great news moving forward , just gotta give Huerter a couple weeks to get his minute restrictions lifted. Big things are coming , I feel it in my bones

That is good news but I am pretty skeptical of that. I don't see Trae's usage going down ever. He is too alpha and the team needs him to be that away. Even Collins return probably just helps Trae get 2-3 more assists per game and doesn't change anything else.

I agree that Huerter could still go off. I'm just not in a place right now to hold him through these times and will hope that no one else wants to hold him through the bad times and can get him later if he pops off.
