Woah there. Some things are more important than bouncing a rubber up and down. Let the man grief.

I got into an argument with my girlfriend and missed my first three picks. Kyrie was autodrafted. She's lucky I love her, because this is bullshit.

Wow.  Traded Doncic for him.  RIP my season

i’m tired of this fruit .. he’s probably not even hurt- just an excuse to not play a game he has zero passion for.

Oh nah he has passion. When he has a superior leader / player next to him lol.

Kyrie owner in my league is desperate. Where do you guys peg his value at the moment ? I'm thinking of offering a Buddy Hield-level player I.e. a top-45 guy.

Im wondering the same, kyrie owner in my league offered him to me for whiteside. This shoulder injury is real mysterious but idk what whitesides ROS outlook is either since he might get traded/nurk coming back soon

Frustrating thing is not even the long periods being out So far, it’s the damn “he out next 2 game” updates that keeps periodically updating every 2 damn games..giving just a lil bit of hope...Just say this mofo is out until Jan and stop playing with our emotions 😩

Someone in these forums mentioned to me privately that they thought he might not be in the NBA in a few years.  I am beginning to think he is right.  He just doesn't seem to be into basketball any more.  Maybe he is hurt who knows.  But. his comments do make you wonder how interested he is in playing.

Nets GM Sean Marks mentioned on Friday that Irving’s timetable to return is “somewhat up to him”.

Might just be a pain tolerance thing now, but hopefully he feels ready enough to return sometime soon. Mid January latest.

Where there is smoke, there is fire.

Take this with a huge grain of salt, but I’ve heard from someone with knowledge of the situation that surgery is a very real possibility that would knock him out for the year.

The nets are looking to be fully healthy with Durant and Kyrie next year.

I think if surgery were necessary they would have proceeded with it at this point.

It’s been what? almost 2 mos since he’s been out? Doubt they’d wait this long.

I read somewhere that they were going to see how his shoulder responds over a period of time of rest  before going on with the next step. That same article said some specialists believed surgery could be an option if the extended rest doesn’t work. Can’t find the darn article.

I think this may be the article you're talking about.

Dr. John Kelly IV, the director of Sports Shoulder at Penn Medicine told the Daily News. Dr. Kelly has not seen or treated Irving personally and was unable to speak directly of Irving’s injury but was able to explain what a shoulder impingement meant relative to his short- and long-term health.

At the end of the day, it's all speculation and until the team addresses a clear timetable or worst case scenario surgery, just ignore all the noise. These so called experts have not personally checked on Kyrie's specific injury.

The first diagnosis was done by the Nets medical staff. That was their diagnosis. Dr. jelly was just brought in this to get another opinion. He seems to concur. So it’s really confirmed as a shoulder impingement. It’s just now a matter of what course that goes. Either way it’s a small procedure so it’s not like he needs to have surgery now to be ready for next year. He can wait and as long as Nets and Dinwiddie are doodling no reason to rush anything. I honestly don’t see him playing at all ROS. I know bold. Sorry.

Can this dude please just come back so my regret of dropping Dinwiddie early on can subside?  I don't even have Kyrie, but its absolute torture looking at Dinwiddie's stat lines each game. 🤦‍♂️

when did you drop him? i dont think there was a time this season where he was droppable

There was. After the first 5 or so games when he was shooting 38%.  Before Kyrie and LeVert got hurt.  In Roto, he was doing damage to my FG%, Atkinson was not being consistent with his bench minutes like last year at that time, and I wasn't starving that bad for assists. I thought he was just going to have a bad shooting year again like two years ago.

The regret is I should have just sat him on my bench until the inevitable Kyrie injury happened.  But I was like, eh, I am not going to wait for a Kyrie injury.  This year might be the year he stays relatively healthy...haha
