SkinsChargersFan 3,422
Seattle for at least one of my two entries.
SkinsChargersFan 3,422
Chargers also look okay right now with the Luck news, but they always start slow and have no discernible home field advantage. Could be a Week 1 trap.
daethfromabove1979 874
Eagles look like a lock, don’t try to be cute the first couple of weeks. Ravens might be good too if Rosen is playing, I’d be more nervous to use them vs Fitzmagic.

I agree but those violate 2 of the unwritten rules of survivor selections: don't pick divisional games don't take road teams
RMJ_12 1,737
Eagles and Cowboys are the plays here. Maybe Cleveland if you’re really bold.

smeeze 6,161
Just now, DerrickHenrysCleats said: We just pick a winner or what? Here's some rules for mine. Pretty fun format, not as time consuming as season-long fantasy leagues and requires next to no football knowledge. Good format to get the casuals/girlfriends/wives involved. Beginning week 1, you will enter a pick of one team you think will win that week. If you successfully pick a winner, then you will remain in the pool and be able to make a pick for week 2 etc. If the team you chose loses, then you are eliminated from the pool. There are no buy backs. Once you lose, you are done. Once you chose a team, you cannot pick that team again for the rest of the season in any other week. If you select a team you have already chosen in a prior week, you will be eliminated. Ties: if you the game you choose remains a tie after an overtime period is played, you are eliminated. The team you chose that week must WIN.

Teams tend to play up to their divisional opponents, look Jeff Fisher's Rams taking a game off Seattle every year or the Dolphins having the Pats number in Miami for recent examples. Hell, the Saints were a very popular pick in week 1 last season, only to lose to the Bucs in a huge upset. 2
Jay85 310
Eagles Dallas or Seattle are the top picks.

RedRaider27 534
Seattle looks like the easy pick at home vs a AJ Green-less Bengals with a almost worthless Andy Dalton in a new system.
Members_Only_76 7,283
Eagles home vs WAS Hawks home vs CIN Ravens at MIA if you are willing to take a road team.

atrium 1,182
Did a tentative road map for my pool which requires 2 picks starting in week 13: Week 1: HOU@NO Week 2: TB@CAR Week 3: MIA@DAL Week 4: CIN@PIT Week 5: BUF@TEN Week 6: CIN@BAL Week 7: MIA@BUF Week 8: OAK@HOU Week 9: TB@SEA Week 10: DET@CHI Week 11: ARI@SF Week 12: TB@ATL Week 13: TEN@IND, TB@JAX Week 14: WAS@GB, DET@MIN Week 15: DEN@KC, PHI@WAS Week 16: BUF@NE, OAK@LAC Week 17: ARI@LAR, CLE@CIN

Teams in the NFL changed so much from year to year. To me, going against what should be an improved Texans team is way too much risk for me in week 1. Is there a reason you’re saving Seattle for week 9?

Is there a reason you’re saving Seattle for week 9? Yeah, i get ya. I'm in a huge pool where it's almost guaranteed we go to weeks 13-17 so trying to do a little preparing, but it's probably futile Take a look at week 9. Aside from TB@SEA, the picks are straight up brutal. Nothing I like there

Also (although I try to stay away from road divisional games), Cowboys @ Giants could be another option. I think the Bucs are going to be a lot better under Arians this year. Baldy8 77
If you look at Seattle's schedule, week 1 is the only week that looks good to take them. They play Arizone twice but who knows what kind of team they will be this year. Plus I never take division games unless I have to.
