Anthony Bass for those who are really hungry for saves. The Mariners suck as hell but their calendar isn't that hard. White Sox, Pirates, Orioles. Bass could probably earn few save opportunities down the stretch.

Pitched twice in a row though. Unavailable today for sure.

Hope they don't get another chance and muddy the situation further

Please tell us more... 3 runs and doesn’t record an out tonight in the blown save, hopefully you didn’t hurt your arm attempting to pat yourself on the back

I usually consider this as a factor but I have the feeling that from summer most teams, especially the ones who just wait the end of the regular season or need to rush for a Wild Card, literally don't care and just send their closer as much as they need. Yesterday, Jairo Diaz was called for the third time in a row. Archie Bradley was called 3 times in a row last week. Etc...

Is there any logic? I've started to believe "not that much" 😂

What the hell, went from 3 closers to 1 in a single day.  Magill has been performing fine and now he's out?  Hand mysteriously injured?

At least I can count on Ian Kennedy!

Read on Fangraphs Bullpen report that Magill not coming in was more of a matchup thing.  So sounds like time share now in SEA.

Felipe 'The Jesus' Vazquez?

The rest of the Rotoworld blurb:

Quote

Pirates closer Felipe Vazquez has been arrested on charges of computer pornography, solicitation of a child, and one count of providing obscene material to minors.

Shocking and disturbing news. Vazquez was taken into custody in Pittsburgh on Tuesday morning on a felony warrant out of Lee County, Florida. According to information from police, an investigation began after word of a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old girl. The girl is now 15 years old and Vazquez continued to keep in contact via text message and videos, allegedly promising that they would meet up after the season. Vazquez was taken to the Allegheny County Jail, where he's expected to be sent back to Florida to face the charges.

Looks like the law has the solid evidence here.  Really REALLY sick stuff.  Hope he never stands on a baseball field again for the rest of his life.

I doubt we ever see him play baseball again. At least not MLB

Kela was suspended for an altercation with a team staff member and suspended for throwing at Dietrich. The Pirates were also rumored to be interested in trading him for Jeffress, who they did not claim when he was released.

Going back to Texas, he got demoted to the minors one year for not putting in effort in an instrasquad spring game.

Kela has a well-earned reputation as a clubhouse cancer. He’s the most talented guy left in the Pirates bullpen but I think he’s down in the hierarchy for a reason.

Update.  I can't read the article linked because I refuse to take down my ad blocker online ever so I don't know what the "very graphic and unsettling" details referred to are but just this little bit seems really bad:

Quote

Felipe Vazquez admitted to police on Tuesday that he had a sexual encounter with a 13-year-old girl in 2017.

That update on the situation comes from a criminal complaint released Wednesday in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. There are more (very graphic and unsettling) details at the sourced link below. Vazquez has been placed on administrative leave by Major League Baseball and is likely facing significant jail time on charges of statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors, and indecent assault of a person less than 16 years old. He is probably finished as a professional athlete.

I think they can definitely remove the word "probably" from that last sentence.
