My homer 9ers section: Spicy Hot Mostert (looks like the Flash) Jeff Wilson Jr. (tbh the dude looks like a cheat code, whatta monster, str8 bully on the goal line)  Deeboooooooooooooooo

Kid listed my 4th round pick as a waiver wire pickup.

I always try to avoid any obvious names that have been repeated 50 times, so here's something a bit deeper.   Waivers process tonight, if I didn't already own CJA, I would put in a $0-1

Hmm. Wouldn't that include throws ... to the running back?

Edmonds certainly wouldn't be used as much as Johnson is as a pass-catcher but he showed last year that he is capable and would likely see his share of passes, too, if Johnson misses time.

Phillip Dorsett. GO GET HIM

Dorsett is a good add if you need help at wr but I would still temper expectations.  Right now he's the #3 wr at best and even if Gordon or Edelman get injured, the Patriots still have their 1st round rookie N'Keal Harry and another rookie that they're high on, Jakobi Meyers.

No doubt but a great add atm to see how things shake out. He was on the field for something like 88% of the snaps week one and looked amazing, could do much worse for an end of bench guy in 12+ teamers

Isn't Harry on IR?  (Also, there were rumors he was stashed there because he can't play.)

Stop with the rookie WRs for the patriots.

Harry is on IR and Myers, while good, will have no fantasy impact unless lots of guys get injured.

Who has the/one of the easiest ROS WR schedule? Patriots

Was AB on the team in Week 1? No.

Who went off on Week 1 without AB? Dorsett

Who should you pick up right now? Dorsett

There's not much else to discuss except how you're gonna spend your championship winnings.

Easiest schedule for WR’s ROS Jets. Pats are 9th. Regardless, yes Dorsett is a good pickup if he wasn’t already owned.

Is that based on defensive performance through 2 games this season or 2018 stats? Either way, it’s a pretty nebulous stat.

Yeah I’m not a fan either. It’s from Fantasy Pros. Their strength of schedule for 2019. Don’t think the first 2 games weigh in on this. Looks the same as it was prior to the start of the season.  Not exactly sure how they do their calculations but I’ve noticed a lot of people use fantasy pros.

- I honesty take it with a grain of salt

Yes. But it's anyone's guess who, on what looks like a run heavier team, will get enough catches to be fantasy relevant...with Edelman being the go-to guy and a coin flip between Dorsett and Gordon for what's left over. But if you have a throwaway WR or other player to ditch, worth a flyer.

If you're struggling at WR, now is a good time to take your favorite of the MIA team, all of which are likely FA.
DeVante Parker is 10% Owned.  Wk1 - 38 Snaps (76%), Wk2 - 57 Snaps (92%)
Preston Williams is 2% Owned.  Wk1 - 21 Snaps (42%), Wk2 - 42 Snaps (68%)

If you play in a return yardage league...
Jakeem Grant is 2% Owned.  Wk 1 - 30 Snaps (60%), Wk2 - 38 Snaps  (61%).  59 Return Yards Wk1, 44 Return Yards Wk2. (3rd in the league, and Dwayne Harris is OUT this week)

I won't pretend to know which of these WRs will come out on top, but the logic isn't very complex.  This is a team that will play from behind all year long, doesn't have an established running game, and a new QB is taking over the offense.  At times when this occurs, a QB/WR connection can immediately show up, and you'll see one of the WRs suddenly become fantasy relevant.  If you're in deeper leagues, in a tough WR spot this year (Tyreek/AB drafters at the end of the 1/2 wrap I'm looking at you) or just have a roster spot and literally no one else to pick up this week, here's a shot in the dark.

Along these same lines, Golden Tate will be back week 5.  Cody Latimer is OUT this week, if you have an open IR spot to exploit.

Again, for those of you in Return Yardage Leagues... Sterling Shepard is back, but because Tate/Latimer are gone this week, TJ Jones last week quietly led the league in return yards (75) and also snuck in 4 targets, 3 catches, 38 yards, and a TD on just 30 snaps (48%).  This is the same player who went 12/146/2 in the preseason.

Think Gesicki is worth keeping an eye on too. Maybe Rosen will target the TE / check it down a lot more than Fitz.

Not really. Rosen likes to throw deep passes that’s why he was picked off so much last year. Preston Williams is the guy to own in this terrible offense. He will get a lot of the garbage points

Yeah, they're so high on Meyers he doesn't even see the field. Harry won't have any impact this year, Belichick's not going to play a rookie that much that's missed half the season.

Diontae Johnson -- New Pittsburgh X

(very sneaky value with everyone talking about Washington)

Just grabbed him. The way coaches bluntly said he was going to be on the field from here on out means they really like the kid and think he's ready.

I've been debating this one in my head ever since waivers cleared.  When they said that he is "starting", who was starting before?  Was it Juju and Moncrief?  So Juju was outside and not in the slot?  When they go three wide, Juju goes in the slot and then it's Dionte and James Washington?  So Dionte is now ahead of Washington?  Or was he not on the field because he was the strict backup to Moncrief?  Three wide was previously Juju Moncrief and Washington?  If the Steelers go with two WRs, we can expect them to be Dionte and Juju from here on out?  Sorry for the questions, just trying to understand the Pittsburgh offense as I haven't watched them much.

As I understand it, AB played X as well, so clearly it is a productive position.  I added Dionte today.

I think Preston Williams has potential, but when the offense doesn't score, it makes it mighty tough.

Deonte Harris, WR NOS.....Another deep dive name. Explosive return specialist who stands to rack up additional offensive snaps with Smith having been ruled OUT, & Ginn playing at less than 100%.

... and Bilgewater's "deep" ball being roughly 12 yds ...

maybe if Brees were playing - maybe

but no way with Bilgey 🤢

If we're doing Saints deep dives due to injuries -- watch for Lil'Jordan Humphrey 6'4" 225 undrafted rookie out of Texas...they like him a lot.

Got my eye to see if he's active, then time on the field.

(Lil'Jordan even has a picture on Yahoo! already 😂)
