I think there's two main reasons for this. 1) Vooch is above and beyond the Magic's best player. Having him on the floor takes a lot of pressure off of everybody else. Both defensive pressure/att

I’m not discounting that, my argument is you can get a semblance of that a round, two rounds, or three rounds later with guys who have a safer floor, bigger roles, and their own upside. - Oubre i

Kid is being optimistic. I would be absolutely shocked if it's nothing. Pleased, but shocked. We all saw the way that knee bent, and knees are not designed to bend in that direction.

Take this with a grain of salt, but from what Vooch is saying, sounds like the staff were also optimistic (and that it wasn’t just Isaac who said it).

Again, we’ll have to see what the MRI says. IMHO he will definitely miss time.

Hopefully he is right but many times players think they are ok just to be wrong.

For now tho we all just hold on and wait until tomorrow’s results.

Yup. I'll never forget Klay coming back in, shooting his 2 FTs then doing sprints in the tunnel to try get back into the game - his knee was ******

Didn't they confirm he tore his ACL during the game though

Wasn't Klay dad the one to stop his son from entering? He literally kept trying to stay in the game and try to make a quick recovery to get back in the next game. I think his dad said no. Also believe they confirm it after he had an MRI.

Klay wasn't walking around after without a limp. Isaac was walking around without a limp. Worth noting.

Even if a bullet was dodged it can still be a multi week absence. Lets hope for the best.

Big deal. That's nothing compared him potentially ripping up his knee and being out for the season.

A return Jan 8th vs WSH looks tasty 😎

Hoping for the best here 🤞🏼. This guy can’t be replaced on fantasy teams.

Yeah, if he is wrong and his knee is f***'d up then my team is toast. He's a special fantasy player and it would be impossible to find anything on the WW that could fill in enough to give me a shot at the chip.

He really can’t. His stat set with elite steals and blocks combo while not hurting you in FT% is irreplaceable particularly from the WW. The only comparable guy on my wire was Noel so I picked him up just in case the news is real bad (which I was eventually going to pick up to stash anyway while we see if Adams is dealt so it just accelerated that).

Just a multi week absence would be a sigh of relief and I can deal with that considering how bad it looked. It is always sad to have to drop a stud with a year ending injury so I really hope it doesn’t come to that.

Recovery time
Recovery from a mild to moderate sprain following a knee hyperextension injury can take 2 to 4 weeks. It’s important during this time to limit activities that can further strain the knee and to continue to manage swelling and pain.

Surgical reconstruction of an injured ligament often leads to full recovery and return to function in a high percentage of cases. It’s considered the gold standard for ACL injuries but often brings with it a long recovery time of 6 months or more.

Physical therapy is necessary to increase strength and rehabilitate the knee and surrounding muscles to pre-injury condition and can help reduce recovery time.

According to an articleTrusted Source in Joints, other patient factors like age, gender, weight, mechanism of injury and surgical technique can also influence recovery time.

So two weeks to you're totally f***'d is the best estimate right now.
