They finally made him a SF in yahoo

K.C. Johnson @KCJHoop

Obviously it’s because he thinks he’ll be a starter in the long term. Dude you gotta stop asking questions here if you’re gonna treat those who answer as though they owe you the truth. None of us know

I'd like to see him get more minutes

Noooo. If he gets more minutes, his horrible efficiency stats (fg%, ft%, t/o) will have large implications on your teams. Dunn is one of those players that are more productive in fantasy with a lesser role. His minutes are where they should be. Having 30+ minutes (like in previous years) hurts fantasy teams much more than not

Shame that 2017-18 form didn't prove to be a permanent fixture though. He was beasting.

trying to figure out what to do with Dunn in my 14 teamer, looked up his game log from this season and noticed this trend

Top 9 scoring games

Mins- 20mpg

pts- 9.3

steals- 2.77

Bottom 8 scoring games

Mins- 20mpg

pts- 3.8

steals- 1.43

... when he doesn’t score, he doesn’t steal. the assists and rebounds stay about the same at his 3rbds/3.2assists season averages

is he scoring off every extra steal he gets? Is he a confidence guy where he plays better on defense when he’s ballin on offense and vise versa? If the consistency was there he’ll be a main stay but streaming his spot w hot adds like Bowman and Wanamaker is probably more valuable at this point.

It’s, “when he doesn’t steal he doesn’t score.” Dunn creates breakaway scoring opportunities for himself via steal.  Dunn isn’t much of a factor in CHI’s halfcourt set at all, where Lavine, Lauri and Coby are jacking up shots.  This is why his FG% is better than years past — open court FGA.

Oops, that what I meant. Right on, that’s what I thought.

Possibility of starting is significant in Dunn's case. Some like the stls without % TO sacrifices but he can produce popcorn stats with 30+ minutes.

So... Why is he starting? The Yahoo blurb says the following:

"... Coach Jim Boylen has loved keeping his second unit together, so Dunn getting a start tonight likely wasn't just a one-time thing..."

If he gets more minutes in a long term, I'm ready to run, not walk.

Could really bring some value if he keeps the starting job with around 30 minutes

True, although Porter should return eventually, albeit with a minutes limit and ongoing injury risk. And you have to worry about White getting the lion's share of playing time down the line. That said, Dunn could be a solid short-term add as long as he gets 25-30 as a starter. Looked decent after one half so far against the Kings

Porter has no timetable
