What's with his minutes today?

I need him to start breaking out RIGHT NOW otherwise I can't afford to 'stash'

Patience may not be the virtue in shallow 12-team league, as on the ww, there are Harrison, Hunter, WCS, and Crowder.

I'm holding, the upside on Mo is just too high to give up on. He's already a top ~110 value player, I took him over Crowder myself.

I'm a Wagner owner too but this post makes you sound like a douchebag tbh.

Words are just words. Post a video of yourself praying.   Source:

Why does this guy foul so much?

It’s an honest question, the reason being he’s not putting up Mitchell Robinson-esque stocks with this foul rate...

He's very aggressive on offense and defense but don't have the reach or hops to block or steal as much as MRob

Scott Brooks asked if team will consider playing Thomas Bryant & Mo Wagner together on the floor. They will eventually but since they're the only 2 centers on roster, hard to do so, Plus... Brooks: “Mo loves contact and referees love to hear their whistle when he makes contact.”

nice find man.

honestly I think a Bryant / Wagner pairing is pretty sick. I have Bryant and I’m thinking to stash Wagner just for the moment that happens. Good floor in limited min and explosive upside with 25 to 30.

A few things to note:

Last 7 days: rank - 130, in 19 mpg: 63% fg, no FTs, 10.3 / 6.3 / 2.7 / 0.3 / 0, and 1.3 3's

Last 14 days: rank - 87, in 20 min: 66% fg, 72% FT, 14.3 / 6.5 / 2.3 / .5 / 0 and 1.7 3's

We're starting to see some of these Kelly Olynyk comparisons he got coming out of college rearing their head.

Some of his big games and early season success inflate the value. If he's not bringing defensive stats (which he hasn't the last two weeks), these lines start to look a lot emptier. Now let's say that FG% comes down a bit, that's a bit worse. These are Paschall-ish type lines with more 3's.

I'm a big believer in his talent and all, I do want to see him start alongside Bryant, I love his per-minute ability (these stats above are still super impressive given the minute restriction), but it is worth noting that if he doesn't bring the defensive numbers back to earlier in the season, he'll be a fringe option.

I think the reputation of him being a tough nosed guy works against him sometimes, I saw him block DeMar 2-3 times in that Spurs game and he received foul calls even though they looked really clean.

His foul rate may continue to keep him limited as well.

Either way, still super roster-worthy, but there are some caveats, especially if you can't afford to take on a defensive stats hit in the short term (until his MPG / foul rate improve)

Good write-up.

That foul rate is inherently going to cap his minutes.

For the sake of example, the highest MPG in a season for anyone with a Per 36 foul rate of 6 or more (in the 3pt era) is 25.8 mpg in 1982 (Daryl Dawkins). In the last 20 years it’s 21.7 mpg.

Does Mahimni count as a center?

I picked him up as a handcuff to Bryant but it would be nice if his minutes can increase playing next to TB so he has even more standalone value.

He is, but I think he's out w/ a torn achilles.

That's why I got my finger hovering over the button. Idk.

The only worry about Mo is his foul rate. He'll play around 20 and over 20 on blowouts like tonight, still holding for now. Like I said before if u own Bryant as well, the combined stats are #1 Center stats lol

He's slowly improving on that at least in the past 3 games, having 4, 2, and 3 in each. I'm hopeful he can keep it up

Not including his huge game against Minnesota, in his last 5 games he has 2 steals and 0 blocks. He's basically a 3 point specialist with great FG%. His FT% also isn't making a dent because his earlier volume in the year has completely disappeared (just 1 FTA over his last 5). He also just has 1 block in his last 7.

I'd still stash for the hope they start him next to Bryant or just give him a bigger allotment next to Bryant in general. He's rank friendly and definitely has peripheral category upside (he's shown it earlier this year). But just be cognizant that it's possible this guy ends up being a %'s / 3's big who mixes in some rebounds/assists.

I'm never a fan of my bigs not giving me peripheral stats. It's very hard to make up that ground if any of your other bigs don't give you peripherals either; so hopefully he normalizes.
