Ah yes, brings back memories. He'll tease you with his near triple double numbers for a dozen or so games after new year, and BOOM! Out for most of March.

man if they announced ankle sprain during practice... you'd think they'd give a legit time table instead of these GTD... man what a waste

Elfrid Payton (ankle) is expected to start for the Knicks on Wednesday, sending Dennis Smith Jr. to the bench.

DSJ went off on Monday and Payton hasn't been playing all that well, but the Knicks still feel like Payton is their best point guard option right now. He's got a nice matchup with the Hornets and should be motivated to play well after Smith went off for 15 points, seven rebounds, five assists, a career-high seven steals and a 3-pointer on Monday.

Great news, don't mind the ridiculous random line "Payton hasn't been playing all that well" classic rotoworld he was their best player before he went down!

shake milton’s on the WW... paytons assists are nice but steals havent been there. i’ll hold a bit longer due to fact he should have the starting gig locked up. he’s a nice end of bench player for out of position rebs, gaudy assists and steals. fg and ft% sucks though

Is the ride over?

Looks like it. Chatter in Knicks subreddit before the game is saying that the new president wants to focus on the young guys and is high on Frank, and it's proven tonight.

damn... anyone watch the game to see if frank was a case of the hotter hand as well though?

Pretty sure Payton got 3 turnovers quick and they didn’t play him to close the game out

Man, Payton is only 26.. Is that not considered "young?!"
