May as well move this entire thread to the assistant coach forum

Put on ur PJs ...we got a super sleeper ova here!

Why go on pornhub when you can look at sexy projections like these.

Seems like a clear path for heavy minutes.. I have OG and Michael porter on my bench roster that I'm flexible in getting rid of if I think other players will be able to contribute.

do you think PJ is worth a flier than OG or MPJ. I know MPJ has a lot of work ahead of him compared to OG.

There is definitely 1/1/1 potential with this kid. My guess is he'll play in low to mid 20's since he can cover multiple positions and is great in small-ball lineups. I just don't see corpses like Marvin Williams and Nic Batum playing too much because this team is all about future now and developing their assets.

Even if he doesn't get the minutes right away, I think it's only matter of time.

MKG + Marvin + Miles then Batum who yea hes done but until they ditch him he should get mins

itll take CHA realizing theyre tanking and let Pj play over rolling marvin out there game in and game out

if that happens then 👀

Message out of that place is contracts don't matter. They're rebuilding and doing things the right way in a rebuild matters. They're prioritizing youth. Besides, early season end of bench production only matters to losers. I'm not calling you a loser, I don't think that but you need the mindset that you're drafting a quality squad and you can afford a few LEGIT fliers at the end of the draft. I define LEGIT as not safety, boring picks who don't hurt you but don't give you big upside.

Edit: context matters too. The league scoring, the roster sizes and the team count.

Worth the grab in 10 team league?

I think you couldn't hurt taking a flier on him. Like comments mentioned above CHA are in a rebuild mode and there is no incentive in trying to win now. PJ will have higher usage MPG than some of the other rookies.. Whether or not he produces during the regular season we won't know.. I'm sure you'd be able to find someone to replace immediately on WW on a 10 team if he doesnt pan out.

I landed PJ in a dynasty league so I'm not worried about Batum at all. He's a trade deadline candidate, plus I'm playing for the fantasy playoffs. I'm not worried about making it, I'm worried about winning it once I get there and PJ is a late season stud candidate.

Didn’t watch him hoop it up in college. What do y’all think his stat line is gonna look like this year?

I like the kid a lot. Good stature, and fills a big hole on this craptastic, rebuilding team. Looked great in preseason, and has unexpected maturity/poise. Knows where to be on the court.

Assuming he can start, here's my line: 12 points, 1.5 3pm, 5.5  REB, 1.3 Assists, 1.25 Stls, 1.2 Blks, 50% FG/ 81% FT

(I'm aware that would make him a top 80 talent.)

Yes, Batum can throw a wrench into the plans. But there are multiple ways for PJ to get starter minutes. Keep in mind, he is competing for PF minutes, not SF or guard. They could, and should, put Bacon onto the bench if Batum starts.

He's getting some Paul Milsap comparisons. Don't expect that from him as a rookie but he can do a bit of everything.
