Yeah that's what I was saying I'm doing, I was just interested in discussing because the uncertainty just makes it tough to evaluate Hart's value in comparison to other waiver wire guys who may also be long-term holds like IT4 or Bertans or whoever else starts to look good. Whether he is more or less likely to have season-long value affects who you might drop him for or how long of a leash you might give him before dropping. Was just seeing how people felt about him.

I think personally even though he's been producing he gets a shorter leash because of the unlikely long-term value. Wasn't sure if others agree

I agree with what you wrote. Will probably end up being one of my first cuts if I can get some INJ guys back healthy (Zion, Fox).

He makes such a good hold. He will always shoot a 3, and will make an effort to steal rebounds. His steals just depends on his luck even though he's the kind to sometimes reach in for one, deflections or playing passing lanes are his thing. He's a great hold if you need those. Jrue and JJ are so getting traded but wouldn't be surprised if they don't.

Apparently the Pels have no intention of trading JJ:

Redick addressed the possibility of being traded this week, saying he is “all-in” on the Pelicans. Though Redick has value as an experienced shooter, a league source said there’s almost no chance that Redick gets moved ahead of the deadline because team VP David Griffin wants to keep Redick as a floor-spacer and a locker-room pro. “Griff likes him for a lot of reasons no matter the record,” the source said. “He gives space to their big guys and he is an example to the young guys. That’s too valuable for that team right now.”

...but it seems like they've already reversed course on Jrue so I wouldn't rule it out altogether.

There's also Troy Brown Jr. as well but he can also fluctuate in production due to minutes going up and down too much. I guess today is a special case since they wanted Hart out there with extra run to help cover Harden, which didn't really help since he shot in his face several times in the game lol
