Mottos For the 2020 Fantasy Football Season?

Recommended Posts

Did you all learn anything this year that you will be taking into next year?

I need some good ones. I'm going to make a 10 commandments to take into my drafts next years.

For me, I will try to avoid receivers in a new offense.

Ignore the offseason hype i.e Browns.

i think my biggest takeaway from this season is that WRs are worthless. There is no point in drafting WRs early when you can load up on WR2/3 types, play matchups, find a WW guy or two early in the ye

Why am I doing this again? (version 2020)

Hope you’re the luckiest person in your league at the end of the season. Nobody outside a very select few provide bankable consistency.

If it quacks and walks like a duck... it more than likely is a duck...

Yeah, like many relying on Fitzpatrick today.

Irrelevant players will rarely repeat good performances and studs should rarely have back to back duds.

I have fallen for more smoke this year than ever before...

Don't take chances in the first 5 rounds. Draft studs that have (close to) guaranteed volume.

this, combined with not over analyzing like so many people did with CMC, or like I did with players like Derrick Henry, Amari Cooper, and Kenny G.  I foolishly basically made it a point to avoid these guys because of nit-picking and over analyzing while ignoring the guaranteed volume coming their way.

I missed on Henry, but scored on Cooper and G.

Who are these studs you speak of? Half the first 2 rounds are busts.

Well you can still bust no matter what.

But I mean avoid high risk players like odbj, Antonio Brown (who I stupidly drafted in early round 3)

I drafted OBJ in the first

Yeah well part of what I mean is avoiding high risk players like OBJ. There was probably a much higher floor player available.

Yeah like JuJu

drafted last

OBJ 12th pick 1st round

JuJu 1st pick 2nd round

neither are on my team now, and going to finish 2nd in the Reg Season

so my lesson is don't hang on to long to a # 1

just cause there a #1

You mean like Kamara, Davante, Julio, OBJ, Juju and those are just the first 2 rounds.

Coming into this season, none of those were considered "taking chances".
