Not sure I'm buying the ankle designation, but usually a trainer will not let you walk on a fresh foot sprain as you can make it worse. I think he stretched his ankle ligaments out when he hyperextended it and his toe connecting with the ground put extra stress on it. Flex your ankle and point your toes down as far as you can to try to make a straight line with your lower leg. Then imagine kicking something with your toe. Think about how much stress that puts on your outer ankle ligaments. As someone whose had plenty of sports-related ankle injuries, it makes sense to me.
Benjamin1984 563
Another issue could be where this team is at. If they are sitting at 2-10 around the time he's due back...we'll see I guess.
fantasymad 377
Deep breaths guys... Falcons have a bye in week 10. Week 11 is 3 1/2 weeks from now. Quite possible he misses one game.
MrCantaloupe 561
I'm fine playing AB the next 4 weeks in his place, so long as he returns for week 13 and beyond 🙏

KennyWoo 3,319
We need the guy who said Dak would only miss a month when it appeared he was heading for an amputation to tell us Ridley will practice in full next Thursday. 1

Guessing he doesn't have Ridley on his team like he did Dak since he's not in here giving a super optimistic diagnosis
Thrill22 82
It didn't look bad, imo. I'm not a Dr., But the injury didn't look extreme. And he walked off on his own, without aid. Slight limp. I'll be surprised if he kisses more than 1 game

GoPackGo23 422
It could be worse, right? You would think if it was something serious there would be a little pessimism on this...fingers crossed it's only a one game absence at most.

I was worried he had a foot tear/sprain originally. Ankles can linger but feet can be even worse. Best case he gets limited practice and makes it back for next week. *Realistic* worst case given all we know is he is held through the bye. Maybe, maaaybe one extra week. I’ll take it at this point. PackerBacker555 943
I own Ridley and didn’t think it was that bad when tackled. However, he sat there for a while and had a brutal limp to the locker room. I’m preparing myself to have him gone for 3-4 weeks
