Ball is somewhere in orbit at this point.  What a shot.  Oh wait.  How can this be.  He has declining skills.  Guess someone forgot to tell him that.  😎

One home run definitely proves that he’s not in decline, in fact that was his fourth this season! As we all know when players hit that dreaded decline phase they completely stop hitting home runs 😂

what decline? where you expecting for jdm to hit 330 again? difference between down year (totals) and decline 2nd half was much better. 155 game pace of 42 bombs, 131 rbi, 105 runs, 965 ops, 305

He was doing it AB to AB during the game itself. This year with the new ruling he can't.

I’m a big JDM fan - love the way he turned his career around   But I agree, the “his routine has been thrown off” bit seems like a lame excuse

Dropped him about 3 weeks ago 12-team league - I'll be damned that was a good move LMAO. No one picked him up ever since. 2020 is a bizarre time. I do have hope he has a productive season in him still - but who knows where he winds up after this debacle.

What's his dynasty outlook looking like?

obviously down a bit but also not TOO concerned.  It’s been 50 games and he doesn’t even like the season (due to many reasons among them the lack of video) and it kinda looks like he’s given up.  Hoping for a “bounce back” next season

If part of the decline is due to not being able to watch video that won't change next year. Also he turns 34 next August and father time is still undefeated.

I am giving a pass for poor seasons this year but keeping an eye on those where it could be age related. Strange year and I wish there hadn't been a season as the fun seems to be gone this year

I seriously doubt that he’s playing this badly because he doesn’t like the season or watch video (the lack of which is not even possible). He could’ve opted out of his contract to make more money and with a DH I’m both leagues, a big year would’ve made him more money. He has 0 incentive sucking on purpose. He’s done.

He struggled this year, but so did a lot of stars. Hoping he figures out the video stuff relatively soon.

No worries with the videos.  They are back next year.  There is suppose to be some software fed into the videos to pixelate catcher signs but other than that JD will have all the video he wants next year.

Both him and Javier Baez mentioned they had major mental issues without their videos this season so I look for both to rebound just fine next year.  They can video party like it is 2019 again next season.

Meanwhile physically JD had no problems these past two months.  Problems all seemed to originate in his head which messed up everything in his swing totally.  Guy needs to join VA - Videoholics Anonymous.

I'm hanging in there with him, with my 2 top options at OF were out on Sunday, I started him,

and he produced and helped my team win the title. I believe he will bounce back in 2021.

Is he going to be outfield eligible? 7 total OF starts.  Not sure how many starts the platforms are going to require.

This is a platform specific question best asked over in this thread.  On Yahoo with just a 5 game limit he'll almost certainly get it, but most platforms have higher limits.  I've heard some chatter that some platforms might decide to pro-rate the limits based on the short season, so there's a chance he could maybe get it on ESPN or one of the others, but don't count on it.

Will have just played enough at NFBC

"It will be 7 games played this year to earn position eligibility next season. 60 games x .123% = 7.4, so we'll round down and make it 7 for next year."

This is how all leagues should handle it in my opinion, and pretty simple logic to get there.

It is how they did new positions for this year also, it is usually 10 games so that 7.4 becomes 3.7 and now they rounded up and 4 games during the season added a extra position. I remembered 4 so when I seen JD only played 7 games in the OF I thought he missed by 1 game so I went and read over the rules.
