Again with the OJ Howard stuff? Arians uses TEs to block while his Quarterback drops way back to hit a WR deep downfield, or get sacked.   Howard will disappoint with or without Brate around

If the stats are correct, Howard did not lack in routes run per game. He ran routes on 61% of pass plays, or about 26 routes run a game. How many of them were decoy routes, or just Winston flat out ig

The Patriots most definitely did not get "hosed."  They got quite a valuable pick in exchange for a big name who was not ever going to play for them ever again.

Name brands aside, I think a better landing spot for him fantasy wise would be Washington than NE.

Rivera worked well with Greg Olsen.  Judging by what we know, Haskins was a better QB in college than Stidham and neither have enough tape at the pro level to know exactly what they are.  And he'd have Scary Terry opening things up for him.

Can’t imagine they pass on a decent pick to sit on a redundant piece whom Arians doesn’t trust.   Stats say he can block...but they signed Auclair their blockin TE-  whom Arians raves about.

Option 2 is Arians completely revamps his offense to use 2 Tes in the passing game.   Don’t see that either.

Someone can turn this kid into a te1 but it isn’t Tampa

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports that there's a "distinct possibility" O.J. Howard still lands in New England.

That scenario is still "very much alive" according to La Canfora after the Patriots dealt veteran Rob Gronkowski to the Bucs for a fourth-round selection. The Tampa Bay Times' Rick Stroud also suggests any trade inquiries surrounding the 25-year-old would have to start with a second-round pick — an asset New England currently lacks — in return. We still lean towards Howard moving to Washington in a blockbuster for LT Trent Williams. San Francisco could also be involved as a last-minute suitor.

Can't wait for OJ to go off once he gets out of the TE fantasy wasteland that is a Bruce Arians offense. The Bucs are morons if they don't try and get something for him right now. What good is going to come from letting him play a minimal role this year, picking up his 5th round option and then him walking in free agency. They have really botched spending a first round pick on this guy.

They can always rest easy with their kicker picks

Underrated after week 1? I like him a lot better than Gronk.

He's to athletic and talented to be worthless forever right?

Agreed. He lined up wide a lot too and only played about 10 less snaps than Gronk (who looks washed). I say lower end TE1 ROS

What a difference a year makes. Oj was looked at often by Brady if you watched the game you had to be encouraged by that.

A couple posts above you apparently didn’t watch the game at all.

I agree with your takes btw.
