drisser 420
What are some realistic projections for him this week? 12 carries for 40 yards, 4 catches for 30 yards? Slim chance of a TD?

Been holding for too long to cut him for players they'll be irrelevant in 2 weeks
RoseLin23 436
Mark Ingram RB, Baltimore Ravens Mark Ingram (ankle) is not practicing Wednesday. Ingram is dealing with sprained ankle and had the bye week to rest up, but he still doesn't seem ready to play this week against the Steelers. If Ingram sits, Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins should form a two-man committee, though we wouldn't put it past the Ravens to get Justice Hill involved in some capacity. 3
OrangeCrush 307
What is the overall issue with this kid? Staff doesn't trust him? Has he been that bad as far as when he touches the ball? What are the beat writers saying out in Balt? Edited October 28, 2020 by OrangeCrush

A bit of him having to earn it and equal parts bad game scripts and bad offensive game plans imo. He is averaging over 6 yards a carry and catching the ball very efficiently too. Just a matter of them unleashing him, they are a smart team and I think they might do just that moving forward.🤞
Jubanton 345
How comfortable are we in predicting a split between the 2? Edward's still likely to be GL?

They are mostly getting roles but not nearly the workload you'd expect when you look at some of the guys they are competing with for touches.

Cleanface 701
[...] I still have sneaky hopes that the ravens will just give the ball after the bye and unleash him. Ingram out, Gus is Gus, etc. I’ve also read speculation that they’ll just burn up Gus like they did Ingram, and then give it to JK, which makes sense too. He’s worth the risk on the end of my bench. [...] That highlight reel was intriguing but not super-exciting, some passing plays that he made something of but a lot of getting blown up due to unfortunate play calls. Still seems a touch lightweight at times but a nice burst. Edited October 28, 2020 by tonycpsu Removed Cool Story

ShaneMT 46
OSU grad. Ive watched every Dobbins game at Ohio State. I have zero worries about him. He is the best back ive seen at Ohio State in my lifetime other than Zeke. He was absolutely ridiculous last year. In a different year, he could have won the Heisman with the #s he put up, especially against elite opponents. Also, a 5* recruit out of Texas so he also has elite pedigree. Works his a** off, great kid, great attitude. Rarely if ever goes down on first contact. Whenever it happens, he will blow up and blow up big. Id buy all shares in dynasty. SharkSwimmer 4,889
The Steelers have pretty much swallowed up all the running backs they have faced this season. This might not be the week to start Dobbins. Week 9, though...

I mean Ingram is not the future and Gus is pretty much a JAG. Why not give this kid more burn? I mean they invested a high pick on him, I just don't understand. His talent above the former backs has to be evident in practice I would think. It sure as hell is to me watching those highlights. Perhaps the coaches just didn't want to put too much on his plate with the wacky offseason? I think these next couple games out of the bye will be very telling. If he still is getting scraps behind Ingram and Gus, I think it may be time to cut bait or just know that Dobbins won't be startable unless Ingram misses significant time.
USWAY 364
Man it sucks. Ingram is hurt and we'd all be so stoked right now about Dobbins outlook if they weren't playing the Steelers. Here's to him somehow finding a way to having a great game so the transition begins.
FreakFries 1,389
I realize this was 12 years ago and Greg Roman is the OC now but this situation reminds me a lot of Ray Rice’s rookie season. Rice was by far the most talented RB on the roster and despite that split carries with LeRon McClain (sp) and Willis McGahee. Harbaugh didn’t give him the keys until the following year. Rice’s rookie stats and game log shows he only exceeded 8 carries 3 times one of which was his first game of the season. https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/gamelog/_/id/11289/type/nfl/year/2008 He’s very cheap right now and Ingram is dinged up but given the fact that GE is playing great right now this looks like a case of a coach who just isn’t going to commit to a rookie barring a bunch of injuries. Bummer Edited October 29, 2020 by FreakFries
