fbi314159 157
I think the Lions are shooting themselves in the foot by not making Swift their feature back, and relegating the aged veteran to spelling him occasionally. Swift is clearly the more gifted player at this stage in their careers.

JJ1223 1,849
He's been so efficient with his touches he doesn't even really need workhorse volume to be a good fantasy play. Also seems to be one of those "nose for the endzone" guys. I just traded away another RB to bump Swift up to my #3. I'm all in.

I think the Lions would be better off as well.
GoPackGo23 422
After a pretty bad week with six carries for 1 yard...how are we feeling about him going forward?
owenmills 5,327
I have no idea what to do with him going forward. It seemed like he was slowly taking over, but now we appear to be back at week 1 where even Kerryon is still involved.

Been plugging Swift in at flex confidently past few weeks. Swifts taking over the backfield, but only 9 touches isn't encouraging. To be fair Indy ran away with it early and the lions abandoned the run. Next week if I have a better flex option I'll use it. Also F Kerryon Johnson. If Swift gets that TD, he would have had a decent game against a tough defense.
harck 478
Was really thinking of buying into Swift coming into this week and this game has me hitting pause. Can't really see if he'll be dependable going forward.

Rough this is not quiet as equivalent to Gase but if the Jets were to have a little brother it would be the Lions in regards to sheer stupidity. This coaching staff is rather horrendous as well.
FinsUp24 519
Well fellow Swift owners, lets cross our fingers that KJ gets dealt. He feels like one of the most likely trade candidates across the league. Obviously he’s not eating into the workload too heavily, but any little bit of clarity in this backfield would help. JJ1223 1,849
We'll see what happens next week but as of right now I'm thinking more of a fluke game than anything. Lions offensive line got blown out basically every play the whole game. Stafford wasn't very good (don't let his stat line deceive you). Play calling was trash. AP didn't do anything either. Kerryon got a rec TD but he's still #3 on the depth chart/pass pro specialist; not truly a threat. Next couple of weeks will be telling. I still think he'll be fine.

They had like 10 carries total among the whole team. This was a fluke game against a tough running defense. If this repeats next week against Minnesota then you may have a reason to begin to be worried. Aside from this last game he has been extremely efficient in turning his limited touches into fantasy points. He's never going to be a high-end RB2 as long as AP and/or Patricia are around, but he is a solid low-end RB2/Flex option.
MingusDew 407
Weird game but not completely unexpected considering the matchup. He'll be in my lineup next week against the Vikings 100%. If he busts in that one I'll be concerned.
papacapps 18
His targets might also increase with Golladay out a hip injury.

jmcampbe11 854
The silver lining...I'm pretty sure Swift out snapped AP by a significant amount in week 8. The game flow / script just didn't call for much of a ground game. I'm personally trying to buy low.

Swift is the back to own in Detroit with AP’s touches and numbers dwindling week by week. Was contained by a solid defense this week so the Vikings will be a great glimpse into the future of how the Lions will use Swift.

FinsUp24 519
Feeling pretty good about him this week. Pretty soft overall Vikings defense. Could definitely be a shootout. Swift should (fingers crossed) lead the backfield in touches. No Golladay could mean more involvement in the passing game.
fbi314159 157
I hope so. Not playing him this week since I have more certain options, but I wish him well. The kid has too much talent for an aging veteran to siphon off so many of his opportunities. The game against Indy was brutal (on everyone in that backfield except for a lucky Kerryon), but outside of that he has produced when given the (limited) opportunities. There really isn't a compelling reason to play AP other than to spell Swift who is clearly the better of the two at this stage in their careers.
kdpat15 258
anyone starting this guy today? seems like a good spot for him but AP is still annoyingly in the way....
