Taysom Hill 2020 Outlook

Message added by tonycpsu

[ As mentioned previously, Hill's TE eligibility is a league/platform-specific issue that needs to be discussed in either the Commissioner's Corner or Platform Central thread.  Believe it or not, there are people who just want to discuss his fantasy outlook without arguing about which positional eligibility is correct.  Please help us out here and take those discussions elsewhere. ]

taysom hill owners once their fellow league managers see him slotted into the TE position

I really like his matchup this weekend, Atlanta is last in the league against TE's, so I'm expecting a pretty big game.

honestly the thing that is most concerning here is the mid game hook.  because then you don't even get the benefit of the garbage time.  in the world of outcomes it is entirely possible that ATL is up big at half time and Hill gets pulled for Winston to mount a come back.  especially with the news of Lattimore out today.  if it was guaranteed Hill play the whole game i think he is an easy start, but the shadow of Winston looms large in this game

Absolute truth. But I think he would have to be playing HORRIBLY for that to happen. I can't see them installing a game plan that sets him up for failure. I see a heavy dose of read options, hand offs to Kamara, dump offs to Kamara, and a few shots downfield. No way they turn him loose to fire it all over. Saints have a decent defense so it SHOULDN'T get out of hand.

I personally just feel that any team regardless of QB that has Kamara which you can just hand off and do dump offs to isn't going to get blown out. Especially with that atrocious Falcons D. Plus Thomas was built for a small ball passer like Hill. He'll be slanting and a HUGE target. Can Hill hit him? We don't know. But god damn they've surely practiced those slant passes with HIll and Thomas over 1 million times in practice.

Also had a touchdown called back by a holding call. This was GAME 1. Can't wait to see what he can do with more practice reps. What an awesome gift. Looked very comfortable throwing the ball. Tebow 2.0!!! LMAO!!!!!

The defense will see to it that they remain in the game. Tons of weapons surrounding him. Season saving potential for those with guys like Burrow, Wentz, Tannehill, and Lock.

He looked very comfortable today, better than anyone could have hoped. He went thru his progressions very well and was not a 1 read, drop eyes and look to run (ala Lamar). Very solid zip on the ball and NFL level accuracy. Only 1 week, against a poor defense...but there is plenty to like about his performance and the rushing ability makes him a fantasy option for most leagues.
