Hayden Hurst 2020 Outlook

Recommended Posts

We have a small bench in our league, so someone had to drop Fant. I think that's a no brainer. Fant > Hurst.

Maybe the coaching change will be a positive and someone will tell Ryan to take a fricken look at Hurst a little more. Using Hurst in the middle of the field will help Ridley and Jones too. It's just too late now lol.

you guys are making a grave mistake. BIG BRATWURST HURST BOUT TO POP OFF THIS WEEK 2 CATCHES 15 YARDS 0 TDS BOOK IT.

Julio in = Hayden Hurst. Julio out = Hayden Hurts.

It says something when the Ravens trade a backup tight end for a 2nd round pick and there's mixed reactions from the fans.  This guy is talented and people remember him outrunning everyone for a long

Imagine using a 2nd round pick to acquire this guy and have absolutely no idea on how or when to use him.

That's the maddening thing.  If this was the plan they could have just picked up some old FA tight end and used that pick on any of the non-receiver positions they need help at.  The early faith in Hurst kind of costs you missing out on the nice pick ups in the first few weeks.

Hurst > Hooper

This is definitely debatable and recent usage points to Hooper, but I am still holding out Hurst for more ROS value myself. We'll see. There are still positive signs under the AWFUL production of late.

Giving him another shot because there is literally no one else and I honestly don't feel that much more comfortable starting Trey Burton, Gronk or Irv Smith.

He is still playing a high percentage of snaps and running the 5th most passing routes for a TE.

Holding out a small glimmer of hope that the coaching change will light a fire under them and his usage increases.  Going to follow the snap counts and the high O/U here and pray lol.

I think his role is just going to get bigger. Ryan is looking for him more. Can probably average 6 receptions for 50 yards with potential for much more RoS

He's been really consistent since week 6.  Not sure if it's Julio being back or change in philosophy since Quinn got fired.
