Well Emmitt Smith last 4 years dont really add much value to his career. He was already a lock for the HOF regardless.

If Gore had retired in 2014 at age 31, it wouldnt had made him any less of a player but he would have had less yards and people would have a different opinion about his HOF worthiness. So does signing with a bunch of mediocre teams and adding to career totals make your career greater?

Ahem....Whitney had truly a gift from god himself.  There are few that could match her range of vocals and power.

Wish the Eagles would have signed him. Would have been a perfect complement to Sanders.

Because the Eagles need one RB who is young and good, and another one who is old and bad?

There's something to be said for continuing to be good enough that NFL teams want to pay you to play for them for so long.

Agreed.  If you consider Miami, Buffalo, and the New York Jets to be NFL teams.

"Mr. Gore, step over this way please.  Hall of Fame?  No this is the Hall of Okay, But for a Long Time."

Chris Cornell is good no doubt but Whitney was in another stratosphere.

Hey now why can't I post my video of her greatness????

I do.  They have the logos and the helmets and everything.

I'm sure he'll be bummed by not making your individual Hall of Fame, but perhaps he'll be comforted when the voters for the one in Canton put him in.

Yeah maybe Rock and Roll not appropriate for her but damn if she decided to go that route she would have ruled there too no doubt.

at 5:00, this cornell highlight represents his intensity + range

and at 10 seconds in, fan notes whitney "couldn't entertain a dead rat"

She's not my style of music but Whitney is pretty much the consensus GOAT when it comes to female pop singers. You can't pass up that value. Cornell will still be there after the turn.

Just for kicks. If Gore is the perfect example of a stat-compiler, then find me an example of another stat-compiler RB with a career like his.

Being able to sustain that many hits should get you a seat into the hall. What is Gore made of?

She did the sex and drugs part. Mostly the drugs.

The Hall of Fames were mostly started as a tourist attraction, and that's how you should still see them.

When we visit it, we want to see our favorite players, and the players we remember from our youth. Does it matter that Kurt Warner wasn't statistically the best ever? No, the man was a legend.

Is Frank Gore a legend? Well, I'm sure playing for Gase won't help the legacy, but certainly when our kids visit the HoF in 10 years they'll say "oh, Gore? Yeah, he was that RB who played longer than Brady, right?"

This is my take as well.

The HoF is basically a museum to remember eras of football, as told through special stories of players.  Gore is one of those stories.  I'll tell my kids he played well into his seventies, when he stiff armed safeties with his walker.
