TroutFister 551
hyde out too from what i hear, homer is back...so deejay and homer sharing the volume? i mean deejay had 2.3 ypc and 3.4 ypr last week which was pretty JAG like. i don't think he deserves to be the bellcow. People only praising deejay because he fell into the endzone a couple times. Edited November 6, 2020 by TroutFister

Deejay looked a lot better in the second half of that game and is the healthy option. I think Homer may still eat into his production more than last week though.

I can't decipher if that puts us/him in a good or bad spot, really?

nb009 932
Does anyone think this can be one of those injuries the team is not upfront with that is actually more serious than we currently think?

I think foot injuries are just like this. They appear minor at first, and often tilt to pain tolerance after a few weeks. But they are so damn tricky. Can sideline guys anywhere from just a week or two to an entire season. Just gotta wait it out. It's definitely possible that he misses upwards of 2 more weeks, but he will likely be back for at least the last 4-5 games of the season.

Not a great matchup, and coming off injury. I'm not sure he's an automatic start if he plays.

Gotta start your studs. Just this season alone Carson was iffy for week 4 vs Cards. The Dallas lineman twisted his knee in a pile and it looked bad. He was Q all week and I think a GTD. He was definitely on some people's benches. Well he scored 2 TDs and ~25 pts.

Depends on your options, of course, but I'm not high on his outlook this week.

Yes but this is a mid-foot sprain. Very similar, if not the same injury that has sidelined Mixon forever, and Calvin Ridley. Very tricky.
leebattle 69
Very true. Def a tough call. But we still have to figure if he's playing he's playing. And that a goal line plunge or two is in order. Can't imagine we'd play a waiver or Flex over him.
varock 219
Wasn’t he a 50/50 shot to play two weeks ago, according to Carroll? Can’t trust anything he says. It’s good news that he started running again and I hope he resumes practicing. It’s very frustrating because Penny seems close to returning as well, which certainly wouldn’t help his upside RoS. I haven't seen anything about Penny being close to returning, and given the nature of his injury he'll need a few weeks of practice first before he can even step on the field in a game situation. If Carson starts you play him, the potential points for the seattle RB regardless of who it is, isn't something you can fade IMO. He was on a RB1 tear WITH carson last year for a few games, and got hurt unfortunately in the Rams game. I'd say he was trending towards being good. Now with the new Pass Happy offense, Penny is for sure a more explosive receiver out of the backfield. Last year, this backfield was trending towards Carson being between the tackles grinder and Penny getting higher value touches. Rojo/Fournette 2.0
