It absolutely makes it less impressive if thats the reason he even got into the endzone.

No, it doesn't change the burst he had as he hit the hole and scored from like 25 yards out. Clearly, if you block for him the guy is plenty good despite what the screenshots of his box score say. But again, I own neither so am not really interested in discussing it in any more detail. I just find it amusing when fantasy owners do this 😄

Wow - a freak injury occurred from him being tackled. Not a hamstring, not something from just running. But he got tackled awkwardly and twisted his body.  Please kindly escort yourself out for p

Um Carson got 20 touches to Hyde's 7 and he got a TD, what more do u want? 😆

Seattle's line is really, really bad. This doesn't affect whether you start him or not. But what Seattle wants to do on offense is more of a week to week, depending on the opponent type of thing.

Think you'd still start Carson against the 85 Bears simply becauae you have to think Russ will get them in a goal line situation and Carson will have a plunge or two.

Every other run he had was garbage. Don't go exaggerating now, it was 17 yards out WITH A HOLDING CALL. Just because you "don't own either" it doesn't validate your weak argument.

Hyde is fine. Carson is clearly the better back of the two. Seahawks eased him back in. Why force the situation when you don't have to and rerisk injury? Plus, Carson wasn't quite in game shape so he likely could not handle as many touches as he normally would. No one should believe a word out of Petey's mouth about splitting carries. This is Hyde's backfield and with the division on the line, Pete knows fully well he needs to ride Carson. It's quite simple really.

Not out of the realm of possibilities that the Seahawks just don't trust him anymore with a full-time role. They could use him healthy for the stretch run.

Early in the season it looked like this team was thinking Super Bowl, but with the way they've struggled to close things out against bad teams I don't know if they can afford to get cute like that. The defense can't stop anyone and no lead is safe. So, I don't know if you can have Hyde take every other series in the first half and hand the reins over to Carson in the second half once it becomes a one-score game. By the time it gets close, they're in danger of losing.

I think Carson will practice in full this week and get his normal workload back next week.

The Carson one was impressive... I know you guys job is to stop me from getting over that line... well you’ll just have to come with me. And by gawd they went with him over the line. 😀

Carson starting the game early and self-asking to be taken out quickly twice makes me think the split share last night was not the original plan. He was also stretching a lot on the side line immediately after. I think they got spooked a bit and after he wanted to come out early they decided to play it safe and let him loosen up. Hopefully he gets some full practices in this week so that he's fully healthy for next week.

The Carson TD run was very impressive. He wasn't going to be denied

Probably a conditioning thing with no practices for a few weeks and only got in limited work the last week. Also made sense to ease his workload once it was clear the Eagles weren’t capable of moving the ball.

Carson is a beast. If he was healthy - he'd be a top 5 back.

Pretty sure he's been dominant in FF when he plays even a half a game. When he plays a full game, he's a no brainer start.

He's outperforming his ADP if you ask me. I picked him up early 3rd round. If you hit on Gibson or JRob...or a few other RB's to fill in while he was injured, you're probably in a good spot.

Was listed today as limited in the Seahawks estimated practice report to boot. You have to imagine that's why he pulled himself out on the first drive of the game, and why they limited his snaps thereafter. Really don't like the sound of this though as it implies his foot injury was not 100% healed and that it is lingering. Sounds like he pushed himself to play.

and penny should. be back shortly?

Carroll keeps saying Penny is "close" every single week, but he never practices. If the sore foot is an indication that Carson's foot-sprain was re-aggravated, it's probably just Hyde's backfield again unless his toe injury is serious. Tomorrow will be telling because it's a real practice and we'll see if Carson can practice in a limited fashion. To hear a player come out of the game "sore" on the spot of their injury is not a good sign at all though.

These foot injuries are known to linger and come back as well, see Mixon this year, and Newton last year.

Hyde was also limited today as well. Possibly the foot is still bothering but recovery time was about 2-4 for a mild foot sprain and he did 4 weeks, there was no point in the game in which he looked hurt, limping, or limited in any way. His td run was something Hyde could only dream of and he was laughing and chuckling on the side line, this looked pretty planned to be honest. However, I need to see a full practice or two to feel fully confident.

Is Penny even eligible to return this season? I seem to recall something about having to return to practice by week 12 to be eligible to get off the PUP list

I think that turned out to be a misnomer and they just had to activate him by week 12 which gives him 3 weeks to come off the PUP list.

Don't be fooled, "out" is just did not practice, but nonetheless this bodes really well for Carson come Sunday. If Hyde can't practice, Carson goes back to full load. Let's hope he can get in a full practice by the end of this week, want to see him near 100%.

I would love if Hyde were "out" for the game too because then it's a full load for Carson and I get to put my handcuff in an IR spot. Win-win

Late TD saved the day, but he's been a consistent RB1 pretty much every game he is healthy. Unfortunately...

It's hard to ever trust Pete, but can't imagine this is a lie considering how they are very clearly limiting Carson's touches. I imagine if they were leading against the Giants this week, we would have seen him play less. I think Carson is still playing through his foot injury and I just hope he makes it out OK every week. If you re-aggravate a foot sprain, that's it, he'd be done for the season and playoffs.

This was a typical Carson game this year. He got 60% of the snaps and produced through the ground and air. He's been a bit reliant on TDs all season. We're all just waiting until they commit to him for 20+ carries again like last year. That's not going to happen. If this is "not 100%" Carson, I'll take it. It was one of his better fantasy performances of the season in a game the Seahawks struggled immensely. Even if Hyde and even Penny get more involvement, you figure the Seahawks might rely a lot more on the ground as they get closer to the postseason.'

This was the third highest carry total he had this season, and he was targeted 6 times. His season-high for targets is 7. That's 19 opportunities.

TD saved his day, are we talking about Drake? He went 13 for 65 and and 3 for 45 with a td. That's 110 total yards and and three catches and was averaging 5 yards a carry. Hyde got 5 touches for 11 yards. I think what hurt him was SEA not running the ball enough and "LeTting Ruz CoOk". Wilson being pretty awful and not sustaining drives. Sea overlooked an improving Giants team.
