Tomlin: Snell is capable of being a bell cow if we need him to be. Gbill2004: Tomlin said Snell is capable of being a bell cow after the game. (True statement based on what Tomlin said. If there is a scenario in which Snell can be the bell cow back, then simply put "Snell is capable of being a bell cow." Moveless: You can't do that. 2

True, but the full quote does give us greater context. For someone who created quite the fuss over a very common phrase being used in one of the other threads, I would think you of all people have an appreciation for clarity with words. But is that the smart move ? whoever PITs "bellcow" is ROS, will put up major points

sportsfreak2744 787
15 hours ago, Nickmo said: I wouldn't say he didn't look good, he looked like typical Conner. Conner's a JAG when it comes to elusiveness. He works best when he's not touched in the backfield. He was touched in the backfield 4 out of his 6 runs. Very little running space. For someone like Conner with little lateral quickness, he's not going to turn a -2 yard run into a 10 yard gain, he's going to turn a -2 yard run into a 0 yard run. He may shake the first defender off but will generally take the contact and go forward, which is what he did. And in that sense he really didn't look bad. But if this is new Steelers norm for run-blocking, that does not bode well at all to Conner's skill set. He also converted a 3rd down on a catch where he ran a solid route and got popped pretty good, which is what a good receiving RB should do. Now he also had a clear drop on a not so great pass by Ben, but one that should be caught by a pass-catching specialist back. He definitely expressed anger at the sidelines after at least one of his runs, and looked agitated. And during the series he was replaced on, he could be seen with his helmet on keeping ready to go back in the game. I'm still not really seeing much to indicate a major injury, outside of him getting his ankle taped up, which isn't unheard of. Snell looked better than last year, with more lateral quickness. His skill set is limited, but it's definitely concerning to Conner's value even when healthy. I was never a fan of Conner, but there was nothing better at the 2-3 round turn. Hopefully he's healthy and settles back into his workhorse role for a few weeks at least. But this is a reminder of how fragile his fantasy value is. If he comes back full force, I will be selling high for similar talent with less headache. Agree with most of what you said, especially Conner's skill set. But I do think Snell is a capable back and it's hard to ignore how much better he looked running than Conner did. To your point, if Conner sees any backfield pressure as he gets the ball he seems to freeze and attempt to spin or take the contact where Snell seemed to not hesitate and just hit the jets. Also agree that I don't think this is a major ankle injury.

daethfromabove1979 874
The thing with Conner is you absolutely cannot trust him in your lineup, there’s always the possibility he puts up a complete dud because he leaves the game with an injury. Yes, I’m aware this is possible for any player but Conner is consistently a headache and really doesn’t have a huge ceiling either.
LacesOut 69
His ceiling is a clear RB1 like we saw in 2018. Whether he gets the opportunity to do that is another question but his range of outcomes is dud that gets injured or falls out the rotation all the way to start and forget RB1. He's a headache but his reward is as gigantic as his risk in my opinion.
